Dressage Horse In The Making
Well, as I said, I am truly a versatile kinda guy.  I like to work in the arena with my side reins on--- doing my "big boy" dressage trot---but I also LOVE to go trail riding.  You see, it all started last fall.  Momma would take me for walks allllll over the farm.  We'd go into the woods, across a stream, and up and down some major hills.  Lots of times we'd see critters... turkeys, ruffed grouse, and I heard that once there was a bear near our trail.  Anyway, those walks kinda got momma and me both interested in trail riding.  This summer, we started walking with Daddy and Cody.  Momma decided to buy me a western saddle so she could ride on the trail, and voila! I'm a trail horse!  I realllly love to go for rides in the woods.  Momma says she's proud of me because I am so very good on the trail.  I sure do try!  These pictures were taken by Auntie Beth.  She and Uncle Barry ride with us sometimes.  Thanks Aunt Beth!!!
So, that's what I've been doing lately.  I am now 2 and 1/2 years old, and I am holding steady at about 17 hh.  Momma says I have "pie pan feet" whatever that means... she always laughs when she says it so it must not be bad...  I can't help it they are so big...I'm a big boy.  I'd look silly with little tea cup feet, right?  Geee, maybe Auntie Beth couldn't get me and my feet in the same picture because they are sooo big?!?!?  Oh well, my farrier tells me he loves my feet, so they must be fine...really...
