Always a keen photographer it was not until 1995 that early retirement provided me with an opportunity to take up painting. Living in rural Teesdale I am inspired by the beautiful scenes on my doorstep. My upbringing on a dairy farm also influences my choice of subject.
My favourite work depicts misty morning scenes with hedgerows and ploughed fields. In 1998 I held my first exhibition. I paint in oils and acrylics but my favourite media is watercolour. My pictures are offered for sale but most of all I want you to enjoy them and would welcome feedback from all viewers
