Shaman
Sprawled across my Shaman's feet
I'm drinking in his knowledge sweet
And feeling slightly more complete
Than I was before he came
Replacing barren winds of cole
Are all his words, so wise, so old
I'm pledging to myself to hold
Them near to me forever
And when my Shaman draws me near
He takes my paralyzing fear
He wipes my slate entirely clear
And I'm reborn through him
He guides me like an angel bright
Giving me the strength and might
To overcome my darkest night
He is my very courage
And in his radiant glory he's
The only one world o'er who sees
The beauty and the casual ease
That lie so deep within me
Shaman dark and Shaman deep
Whose soul surrounds me as I sleep
I pray that you would only keep
My heart so close to yours
Your words inspire me to go on
To release the pain that memories spawn
To reach another coming dawn
And this is why I love you
