Today was the first day of my final chemo. I received a high dose of cyclophosphamide. This is a chemo which is given through an IV drip over two hours for three days.
I was suppose to stay at the hospital today but I was given a leave of absence for the day so I could sleep at home in my own bed. Only one drawback, I have to drink a glass of water every hour and go to the bathroom at least once every hour, 24 hours a day for four days. The reason for this is to help prevent any infection the chemo might cause to my bladder.
The rest of the day went fine. We spent the day indoors because of the rainy weather.
