Finally after many a day I am able to eat and keep the food down. I took advantage of the fact that I could eat without any misheps and pigged out. O.K. not really pigged out but I managed to eat a couple of times in the day.
My feeding tube is still in place. It is stopped during the day and started up at night, this way I am guaranteed the required nutrition my body needs.
My mouth and throat have healed nicely and the burning in my hands and feet is also gone.
I received another platelet transfusion this morning. My new bone marrow is still not producing platelets that is why I need transfusions.
I was asked what the "day number" at the top of the page was. This is an indicator to show number of days since the transplant. The day of the transplant is day 0. The days preceding the transplant are minus days similar to a countdown.
