Previous week
It is really starting to get cold here in Canada.  Looks like winter will be coming soon.

This week has been full of ups and downs.  My blood counts have been stable for the most part, with my red cells, white cells, and platelets holding up well.  Unfortunately, the chemo I received last week wasn't enough to eliminate the leukemic cells from my blood.  I will receive another dose of chemo on Monday, and once every week, for the next three weeks following that.

Early Friday morning, I was starting to develop a fever as well.  The doctor advised that I come in the morning.  I was put on antibiotics to control the fever, and it will be given to me throughout the week.

I also celebrated my birthday this week.  My sister, Anju, gave me a surprise birthday party.  She invited some of my friends over, and we had a great time.  The following day, I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday once again.  We took a cake to the hospital, where I shared it with the nurses and doctors.  I would like to thank everybody for the wonderful wishes and support I received on my birthday.
