The Primer is basiclly a technology and detail manual. It will show renders of units, along with their descriptions, loadouts, stats, and use. It will also show the location of the battles, and some details about the history, and the current war.
Sub-stories are basically the events surrounding certain people, but still in the same war. It may also include the ennemy (Clan Sparrow), but will focus mainly on certain individuals in the war, on the BlackStar side. I' in the midst of writing one of these, featuring a carachter which is in the main story, but I will also follow a bit of his life before and after his appearance.
I will put the first chapter of each story section up on this site (sub-pages, linked from this one), but the full stories will be download-able in either .doc, .rtf or .wpd. This will come later!

Scout vessel 'Runabout' reports the sighting of a large gas giant in a far off system. The giant's core is a solid mix of aluminum and titanium. It's ring is a classic rock/ice combination, but internal scans reveal heavy metal and uranium deposits. 'Runabout' requests full mining operation.
Request is granted. The gas, which is mostly hydrogen and nitrogen, is evacuated onto a local planet, where it is harvested. Within weeks, most of the planet's ressources have been mined and shipped out to neighbouring colonies. Then, on July 15th, 2975, Clan Sparrow attacked the mining colony in a vicious assault, taking almost every life on the planet. BlackStar Suppression Forces are deployed to guard the planet from the invaders and push them off until they are no more. Mining resumes, and soon, the planet's ring is accompanied by a second one, intersecting it. There is also a small moon which forms from large sections of debris.
Mining is finnished, and cities are extablished on the planet's surface, but BlackStar Forces occupation remains, and with good reason. Clan Sparrow attacks, on the 10th anniversary of the original onslaught. Though they are pushed away from the cities, they establish a large community in the mountains in the polar regions.
War breaks out, and soon, BlackStar Forces are on the losing end. They begin to call in reinforcements from Earth and other colonies, and this is where our story begins...
