What is LivePVR?

LivePVR, is a true Mobile application that provides 3 extremely useful Personal Voice Recorder functionality; Meeting Notes PVR, Phone Call PVR and Voice Recorder PVR.

·         Meeting Notes PVR is the personal voice recorder mobile application that provides real time meeting notes using Timed or Manual capture modes. It allows the user to record moments-in-time, or "thoughts" during a meeting, but without missing the context that led up to that main point or thought. Using pre-defined application settings, a certain number of seconds are recorded using the Rolling Buffer, both before and after pressing the Timed Capture. This ensures the user always have proper context to the recordings. For example, you are in a meeting with LivePVR on and you have set the pre-defined value to 45 seconds. Suddenly you realize that you will need to record this part of the conversation. When you press the button, LivePVR will record the conversation to a file starting from 45 seconds before you pressed the button till either you press the stop button (if you have selected manual capture) or the time pre-set by you (if you are using timed capture).

·         Phone call PVR is the personal voice recorder mobile application that provides real time phone call recording using Automatic or Manual capture modes. It allows the user to record mobile phone conversations, either by recording all phone calls automatically, or by recording the next call the user makes.

·         Voice PVR is the personal voice recorder mobile application that provides voice recorder functionality, without the limits on how long the user can record. As long as the user has storage, such as an SD Card in the phone, user can record whatever the user likes, for as long as the user likes.

·         The files can be recorded in .WAV or .AMR format. They can be copied to the Desktop using Series 60 PC Suite application provided by the phone vendor and plugged into notes taken with programs like LiveNote.

Limitations in Trial Version

Trial version is the fully functional application and all functions are available. The only limitation is that the program will stop working 15 days after installation.

Steps to Install LivePVR

Step 1 - Unzip the files

Unzip the downloaded file using Winzip. If you are able to read this file then you have probably already unzipped the file. You should see the following files in this directory.

LivePVR_S60_2nd _Edition_Trial_Readme.htm
LivePVR_S60_2nd _Edition_Trial_License.rtf

Step 2 – Installation the Application

Install LivePVR On Series 60 Phone

  • Copy the LivePVR_S60_2nd _Edition_TRIAL.sis to the device either by transferring the file to the device through sync cable or Bluetooth, or using the PC Suite application. You will find the .sis file in the folder where you unzipped the zip file.
  • Select the .sis file on the device. The LivePVR application will be installed on the device.

On Desktop PC

  • There is no Desktop component included in the package. You must have installed the Series 60 PC Suite application on your PC to access the LivePVR files recorded on the device.
