| Be logged in to the Yahoo! account wherein you want to make a website and Go to Geocities, now part of Yahoo,) Link #2 above, and get your FREE website. BE SURE to choose FREE-- there are other options, so be careful. Your wesite URL will end with the name you chose for a Yahoo ID, address. |
| If you don't already have a Yahoo! email address (ID,) you will need one, because.... A Geocities FREE website comes with it! HINT- Choose a name for your Yahoo ID that reflects the nature of your intended site. (I chose "deep6graphics" to make this site. Pretty cool, huh?) |
| It's so easy to get started, you shouldn't deny yourself the fun of a new FREE hobby. HINT- A dialup connection works fine for a real simple affair, but HIGHSPEED is the ticket for anything fancy, like pictures, animations, sound, and stuff. |

| WHILE LOGGED IN; Go to PageBuilder, start it up,put something on the blank page, or use one of their TEMPLATES and put something there,. like the name you want to call your site. "All About ME'" maybe? Yikes! Using PageBuilder's real intuitive interface is easy, so just poke around. If you can't find it; it's right under your nose! Ask yourself "What would Fido do?" HINTs- You must save your FIRST page as "index" (lower case, no quotes.) You can use anything you like for subsequent page names. I use all CAPS so I can see them. SAVING a page automatically PUBLISHES it, so you are now a webmaster! |
