TORONTO'S VILLAGE SCENE

Toronto's Village in the 60's, was a mecca for high fashion mixed with the Hippie style of life. It's easy to imagine the two parallel streets that comprised the Village, Cumberland and Yorkville, packed with people, who moved aside only to let the chrome decked, finned cars of that era glide by.
Coffee houses ? Man there were coffee houses everywhere, usually with some live music drifting from them, be it folk, blues, or some good old fashioned R&R.
Just a short walk south from the Night Owl on Avenue Road, down to the corner of Yorkville Avenue, there stood the "Purple Onion" coffee house. Actually, our heroes strayed from the "Owl" one particular time, and appeared at the "Onion", as can be seen by the sign outside of the establishment.

A Magical time, in a Magical City, in the Magical Sixties
