A deciduous azalea favoring streamsides or moist woods, the usually red stamens are long and curved, sticky hairs on the sweetly fragrant flowers which appear well after the foliage. May grow up to 20 ft. This one found along the Little River in DuPont State Forest. photo-- 07.09.03
