Southern Catalpa
Catalpa bignonioides
Family-- Bignoniaceae (Trumpet Creeper)
The heart-shaped, deciduous leaves are hairy underneath and the fruits are long, brown and bean-like. A sun lover, Southern Catalpa is found throughout
the southeast. It's wood is soft.
