| He threw the magazine down on the floor, taking careful measure to be sure to step all over it as he stormed out of the room to answer the phone. "No! I did NOT say that. Of course I wasn't with her!" He tried to remain calm as the discussion continued, the female voice on the other end yelling into his ear. After five minutes of the loud, blaring sound of a scorned woman's hollering and crying, his ear filled with the echoing dial tone. She was gone and he may have lost her for good. For years he'd been playing up to the image he'd been told to create. A few mistakes early on gave him a reputation that people expected him to uphold. This wasn't him, wasn't who he'd become over the last three years. His family, his friends, even the woman he loved didn't believe what he said anymore. Countless articles and interviews in which he was forced to continue on with the facade that he was a ladies man. Nobody wanted to hear that he dreamt of showering her with roses on a daily basis. Of whisking her away to an exotic island whenever he had a free day. Nobody wanted to hear that the ring he wore on his finger represented the heart he wore on his sleeve when it came to her. Sometimes even he forgot who t'he real him' was. When he tried to deviate from the figure that he'd become, nobody bought into it. He was "The Ladies Man". He was the flirt. The one who's dance card was filled every night. The one who had countless pictures and numbers of women, most of which he couldn't name to you when asked. But in reality, he went home lonely every night, pining for someone who didn't even know who he was anymore. The 'real him' will come out one day and take place of the public figure we see now.
