| Grandad's Day's in India |
| Grandad (William Todd) was in the York & Lancasters - The 8th Battalion In 1940 they where sent to southern India, from there, the battlion along with others took the long march north to the Imphal Plain. They were named The Forgotten Army. He stayed there until 1945. Becoming a Sgt. In the military police. When he was sent home after loosing two of his toes. |

| The writing on the back of this card says: To My Darling wife, Just a few lines to let you know that I am in the best of health and I hope this card finds you the same and the children as well. This is just a card to wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year to all. I am sorry that I can't send you anything, but I am sure that this card will mean much to you.
