Breakbeats
This is the BEST genre in electronica with that special 4x4 beat. It is one of the most difficult genres to spin because of the 4x4 and it's bass lines which vary from hard hitting to deep low bass. Trance, House, Hard House have no comparison to the creativeness of Breaks, they all use 1x1, 1x2 or 2x3 beat intervals which makes it very easy to beat match. Breaks is split up with a few sub-genre's like Funky Breaks, Florida Breaks, Nu Skool Breaks, Dark Breaks, Breaks, Electro and probably more with it's growing rep. No matter what your style and what you like Breaks has it all with madd vocals, crazy beats and kickin' samples.

Garage & 2-Step
Originated in England this has a similar beat style as breaks which is why there are so many dj's mixing both into their sets. It is just missing the break and uses a 1x2x4 beat count. Garage uses most use of the beats while 2-Step uses the vocal. US got a chance to hear 2-Step from Craig David's debut release, but since his c.d. got played out and many wanna-be's later, the US only got to hear a small sample of this style and made more of a pop sound to it. They never got a chance to hear the realest form of this genre, which I guess is a good thing. Keep Garage & 2-Step for the people who actually listen to it not the MAINSTREAM!

House
Everybody like's house, but most important the girls love it! groovin' 1x2 or 2x2 beats and killer vocals. Top club genre in the western continents. Top artist include Faithless, Madison Avenue, Richard Humpty Vission, Dj Irene, Groove Armada, Skribble and Miguel Migs. Not top artist Moby.
UK Hard House
One of the top European genre's. UK Hard hitting 1x1 beat and bass. Fast pace beats, great vocals and sounds. The US's version is very boring and mellow compared to UK's version. The UK's got Tidy (the biggest hard house label) with Lisa Lashes & Rachel Auburn, Jon Bishop and Fatboy Slim. The US has that blonde freak not to mention boring disappointing ass Donald Glaude and other no-names who are equally boring, there is no competition.
Drum & Bass
So damn fast I don't even know the beat count. Tight ass beats & bass, very phat when used with vocals. There is only one problem, HOW IN THE FUCK DO YOU DANCE TO THIS! Artist include Dieselboy, AK1200 and Roni Size.
Trance
The most played and top seller both in the US and Europe. This genre's also the most played out and annoying, but somehow they keep on coming with some phat tracks. This genre gives the impression to all the mainstream people that this is what Electronica sounds like, which is why most people don't listen to Electronica. Artist include Alice Deejay, Christopher Lawrence, Keoki, Tiesto, Mario Piccolo and Paul Van Dyke. Not top artist, yup you guessed it Paul FUCKING Olkenfold.
