MARGARET'S
MUSINGSHello Folks:
Havent had much by way of contributions from you all out there...guess
everyone is too busy working on their gardens and planning their holiday trips
over the summer. Both of which are excellent objectives! However we still
need our members to shoot over their news, views, sense (and nonsense!) to
make this an interactive and interesting quarterly publication.
Lexa Daniells from Vancouver Island wrote: I was just wondering why the list of new members was deleted from the newsletter. When the newsletter first started all our names used to come out in it - sometimes you come across a name that you might know - just a suggestion - is it too much work to print a page of all the members - old and new ???
A good suggestion, and a list will be in our annual spring edition of the Newsletter. Some folks, however, prefer not to disclose their phone #s, so well only mention names. In addition, I will post this on our Anglo-Indian web site, and those interested in tracking down friends will then be able to e-mail me for further information. Meanwhile a list of new members (2002) is included in this edition.
Several people have asked me to send them a copy of our Membership Form. I have posted it on the web site so that those who are interesting in signing up can download it.
Do go through our list
of events for the remainder of 2002 and mark your calendars. Id like
to make special mention of Anglo-Indian Day to be celebrated world wide on
August 2nd (Friday). We hope youll join us that night for a dinner-dance
at Sparks Steak House on Scott Road, Surrey. Its a classy little restaurant,
their food is superb, and so is the music. And the company? Well
it goes
without saying, that couldnt get any better could it?!
Have a great summer
and see you all soon!
Cheers,
Margaret
