An ancient demon Acathla was capable of creating a vortex that would suck everything from Earth into its demon dimension where all living things would suffer eternal torment. However Acathla was stopped by a knight who pierced his heart before Acathla could perform the act. Instead of dying this demon was turned to stone and buried underground until found and resurrected. The resurrection required that someone worthy would pull the sword out by using their blood. The vortex would open and could only be stopped by using the same blood. Acathla was stopped but his current whereabouts are unknown.

Ampata (Inca Mummy Girl)
A 500yr old Inca mummy, Ampata was originally sacrificed by her people at the age of 16. Kept in the museum of Sunnydale she was resurrected when a seal she was holding in her coffin was broken, releasing her. She is able to retain her youth by kissing and draining the life out of humans who then turn into to mummies. Without draining life she would revert to her skeleton state and die. She could also be killed if the seal that trapped her was reassembled. There is a human guard who is meant to prevent her from ever being resurrected but he was killed. She eventually was too late to drain life and resorted to her mummified state where she crumbled into dust and bones.
Ano-movic Demon (The Bachelor)
Originally a violent nomadic tribe these demons became peaceful at the turn of the century. However they kept some customs such as when a demon marries they are to eat the brains of the partner's previous spouses to bring in good luck. They have red skin and ridges along their eyebrow line. These demons are able to shift between their demon and human disguises.
Anyanka (The Wish)
A vengeance demon, Anyanka was originally a human 1120 yrs ago. When her lover cheated on her she used magic to ruin him. Her vengeance attracted D'Hoffryn who turned her into a vengeance demon for scorned women. Able to grant wishes of scorned women she made thousands of men suffer until she granted the wish of Cordelia Chase. When her necklace was destroyed she lost her powers and became human. She pleaded with D'Hoffryn to empower her again but she was forced to remain human. She eventually got her powers back when she was scorned by her lover again. However she gave up her powers as a demon again to take back a wish that she had granted. She is regarded as the patron saint of scorned women.
Archduke Sebassis (Life of the Party)
A powerful demon of the underworld, commanding over 40 legions and is part of the pure bloodline of demonic royalty. Humanoid with pale skin and two long horns, Sebassis is not physically powerful but holds immense demon political influence and power. He drinks the blood of his servants, who willingly give it up.
Avilas (Help)
A demon that when worshipped will grant its worshippers great power and wealth in return for a human sacrifice.
Balthazar (Bad Girls)
Extremely obese and ugly demon who has the ability to move objects and people. He ruled Sunnydale before driven out by the Mayor when he lost his power amulet around 1899. He is said to been killed but was secretly alive. He hired the El Eliminati to find his amulet which would restore his power. They failed and he was electrocuted to death.
The Beast (Rain of Fire)
A enormous humanoid demon which is impervious to any attack. It has two large horns jutting out the sides of his head and has enormous strength. Though strong, the Beast is only a minion to a being it refers to as Master and can only be killed by a weapon forged from its own bones.
Beljoxa's Eye (Showtime)
An oracle creature that lives in a dark dimension only opened to by demons. It appears in a cage strung up by chains. It is a huge eye with a conglomerate of smaller eyes fused onto the bigger one.
The Bezoar (Bad Eggs)
A race of demons, the mother Bezoar lived underground as a huge obese monster with tentacles. She laid eggs that hatched out parasitic little demons. They could take possession of a host by latching onto their nervous system. Using their host they obeyed the mother and helped dig her up and gather the newly hatched eggs. However the mother Bezoar was killed by the Slayer and in turn all the parasites died immediately.
Boil-covered Demon (That Vision Thing)
A humanoid demon that has boils all over its skin.
Boretz Demon (Power Play)
Vicious demons with a horrible stench. They sometimes dress as transients to prey on the homeless. Their bite is poisonous.
Borg'dar Demon (Salvage)
A pudgy demon with folds of skin and horns on its head.
Brachen Demon (City Of)
Green demons covered with spikes, they are able to sense objects and people by their keen sense of smell. Not necessarily evil, most have been assimilated into human society. They have adapted so they can resume a human appearance. They are able to dislocate their heads.
Bratler Demon
A race of demons who are strong fighters though not much for thinking. They are usually hired as thugs or minions.
Brotherhood of Seven (The Puppet Show)
A brotherhood of seven demons they were able to appear as humans but could only keep their forms if they ate a human heart and brain every seven years. All seven have been killed by a demon hunter.
Cantonese Fook Beast (That Vision Thing)
A demon of Asian origin with five claws.
Carnyss Demon (Carpe Noctem)
Species of demons that are into sacrificing humans, especially adolescents. They love muscles and mirrors and tend to hang around gyms.
Chaos Demon (Lover's Walk)
Slimy demons with huge antlers.
Chirago Demon (Once More With Feeling)
Large species of demons that weigh about 600 pounds.
Crimslaw Demon (Selfless)
Spider like demon that feeds on the hearts of humans by directly ripping it out.
D'Hoffryn (Dopplegangland)
Living in another dimension, D'Hoffryn belonged to a special council of lower beings who granted humans who had showed great emotion, the power to become a vengeance demon who had powers and immortality. He watches over humans and offers few the chance to become a vengeance demon. He watches humans who have shown power in vengeance and magic. His council has created a variety of vengeance demons who are able to grant wishes of scorned women, hurt children and anyone who wishes vengeance on another being. His powers include turning humans into vengeance demons, teleporting through time and space and creating time folds.
Davric Demon (Guise Will Be Guise)
Demons that are worshipped and offered sacrifices of virgin girls. If satiated they will grant huge power to the worshipper on their 50th birthday.
Deathwok Demon (Belonging)
Clan of demons called Deathwok who belong to the dimension Pylea. They have green skin and two red horns on its fore head. They have anagogic powers to sense the feelings and auras of those around them. These demons enslave humans in their dimension and are very honorable. They are proud warriors.
Deevak (First Impressions)
Extremely strong demon who is also gruesome looking with loose skin.
Der Kinderstod (Killed By Death)
A demon, he could only be seen by children, insane people or those with a fever. He preys on the sick and young by pinning them down then his eyes protrude out and suck the life out of its victim. With sharp teeth and a crooked nose his head was snapped by the Slayer.
Dinza (Ground State)
Winged dark demi-goddess of the lost, Dinza is one of the Eleusion mysteries. She can only be approached by those of the dead and usually traps them with her forever. She has the ability to see and find those who have been lost.
Drokken Demon (Belonging)
Originating from the dimension Pylea, this demon resembles a boar. It is very fast and vicious. Its saliva is fatal to the Deathwok demons and can be killed with a weapon dipped in thromite, which only exists in Pylea. Pylean demons are able to track Drokken demons because of the waves of hostility that remains after it has been somewhere.
Durslur Demon
A species of demons that tend to live near sewage pipes and tunnels.
A sect of Italian vampire that fought with swords, they lived in the 15th Century but later their numbers decreased. Expert fighters and duelists, they became fighters for Balthazar, who took them to America, until he was killed.
Empathy Demon (Parting Gift)
Demons with the power to read the feelings and emotions of others. They have four small horns from their forehead and pointed ears. The term is also used for demons who have the general ability to read the minds and feelings of others. If the empath is ever severed from his subconscious too long, such as losing sleep, that subconscious may manifest itself.
Ethros Demon (I've Got You Under My Skin)
Possession demons that possess a human then takes their soul, corrupting it and often influencing the human to kill all those around them. Darkly cloaked, they can be exorcised from the human into the Ethros Box which can contain it. If it is not put into the box the demon can easily possess the nearest living being. They leave a trail Plackticine, a glowing green liquid. It has yellow eyes and a wrinkled face. If injured, primordial volcanic basalt helps it regenerate. Ethros demons have telepathic and telekinetic powers as well. To test if a person is possessed they must ingest a eucalipsis powder which forces the demon to reveal itself and will have a fit. If injured the demons will be found near primordial volcanic basalt which helps them heal.
Eyghon the Sleepwalker (Dark Age)
An ancient Etruscan demon, Eyghon lived in a separate dimension. He could only exist in this dimension when summoned and takes possession of a dead or sleeping person. If he grew too strong Eyghon is able to take possession of the human permanently and would be born from within them. In possession of a dead person the body would eventually disintegrate forcing Eyghon to jump the nearest dead or unconscious being. Eyghon was finally destroyed when it took possession of a vampire. It was defeated by the demon residing in the vampire.
Executive Demon (Magic Bullet)
Short, green little demon with two thin tusks as teeth on its face. It has its own office, chair and desk. It likes to eat the hands of humans.
Fell Brethren (Time Bomb)
Humanoid, bald, gray green demons who are very religious and worship a prophesized human child who will be pampered and fed a holy diet of berries, panda meat, and urine. On his 13th birthday, he will be prepared for the rites of Gordabach, which is a ritual sacrifice.

Froctor Demon (Release)
Species of demon with green skin and two curved horns on the side of its head.
Fungus Demon (The Harsh Light of Day)
Ugly species of demon. Presumably one with fungus over it.
Fyarl Demon (A New Man)
Dumb minion demons, Fyarl demons are huge with horns and extremely strong. They are also able to shoot a paralyzing mucus. It can only be killed with silver. Fyarl demons are only capable of their own language.
Gachnar (Fear Itself)
A hideous fear Gaelic demon, Gachnar is summoned from his dimension during a ritual of blood and the Mark of Gachnar. He is able to see the root of a beings fear and turn the fear into reality. Using his powers he feeds on the fears of others until he has enough power to manifest itself. He can however be instantly manifested if the Mark is destroyed. Surprisingly when manifested in this reality his actual size is only two inch tall demon. If destroyed in this dimension Gachnar is not killed but simply sent back to his own dimension.

Savage spider like creatures, there are billions within the Box of Gavrok able to escape when opened. Mindless their demonic energy is sometimes consumed for rituals. They can be killed by being stabbed.
The Gentlemen (Hush)
A group of creatures who gather seven hearts. They arrive at a town and capture the voices of everyone into their magical box so they cannot scream. They carve out the heart of their victim while they are unable scream for help. They are unable to be killed by weapons but will explode when they hear a real human girl scream. Tall and silent they float above the ground carrying about their business with the help of servants in strait jackets.
Glarghk Guhi Kashamanick Demon (Normal Again)
Species of demons that has protruding spike from their hand. The spike carries a poison that when comes in contact with a person, the person becomes ill. They lose the ability to discern between reality and fantasy. They may hallucinate and become delusional. The victim can be cured by an antidote that is also carried in the spike.
Gnarl Demon (Same Time Same Place)
Type of demon that feeds on the skin of humans and drinks the blood of humans. The demon paralyses his prey by striking with his nails. He then slowly strips the skin from a human over many hours while they are unable to escape due to the paralysis. This demon leaves no mess as he laps up the blood spilt. Gnarl demons usually live in dark caves.
Gora Demon (Forever)
A large demon that is usually found near a Hellmouth. Their eggs are highly valued on the black market, since it is one of the vital ingredients for a resurrection spell. The eggs cannot be bought on the black market but stolen from the Gora's nest. They are huge reptilian demons that have more than one hear. They are extremely protective of their nests and agile.
Goran Demon Clan (The Girl In Question)
A human tolerant low profile demon clan in LA. The species, if killed, can pupate and live again, but only if the proper rituals are done by the immediate family on the body in time. When a Goran demon gets old, his head starts to sag and eventually falls right off, but his new body will be reborn after the rituals from the family.

Grox'lar Demons (Just Rewards)
A clan of large demons that eat the heads of babies. They respect people who takes up a strong opening position.
Jennoff (Double Or Nothing)
Soul sucking demon that collects the souls of beings by sticking his fingers in his victim's eyes. If decapitated Jennoff can regenerate another head soon.
The Judge (Surprise)
Bought forth from another demon dimension eons ago, the Judge's purpose was to rid the Earth of humanity and to separate the righteous from the wicked. The Judge has the ability to reassemble himself and is virtually invincible. He is able to burn the humanity from any being by just being near them. Unable to be killed by any forged weapon he was finally disassembled by an army who took the separate pieces and buried them in different places on earth. However he was reassembled by two vampires but was then destroyed by a rocket launcher and his pieces scattered around the earth.
The Haklar is a species of big bloated demons, descended from the Klenzen order demons, can weigh as much as three tons as an adult male. It awakes from its hibernation during alternating full moons only to feed and mate, often simultaneously. Incapable of traditional speech, the Haklar has learned to communicate with each other via a complex pattern of carefully timed facial tics, not dissimilar to our own Morse code. The Haklar prefers a warm, moist climate. Apparently, there are two subdivision of Haklar demons, one eats humans whole, while the other simply rips out their liver and eats it. These two subdivisions have different feeding grounds.
Halfrek (Double Meat Palace)
Vengeance demon that grants the wishes of hurt children. Is immortal and cannot be killed.
Hans and Gretta Strauss (Gingerbread)
A chaos demon he could separate into two children. Every 50 yrs he would stage the death of the two children and manipulated the minds of the community into creating a witch trial madness. Blaming it on the occult always the town would destroy any suspects. The demon thrived on hatred and chaos from the prosecutions. He was killed in 1998.
Haxil Beast (Expecting)
A inner earth procrea-parasitic demon. Human in appearance it is in fact much larger. This demon infects some human men with its life force so when they impregnate a woman, the spawn is a demon. In return the men are given wealth. The women are instantly 9 months pregnant the night after and they carry a litter of demons. The unborn demons have a telepathic link with the demon. After a while the unborn demons area able to control and communicate with the pregnant mother. When they are born the mother will die. They cannot be killed by fire or decapitation. However it is weak against freezing liquids.
Helldog (Over The Rainbow)
The equivalent of a hellhound. It exists in the hell dimension Pylea and is used as a hunting dog. It resembles a hellhound except for its red hair and mottled skin.
Hell-God (No Place Like Home)
Demonic god beings with immense power, immortality and invincibility. With various powers they are worshipped highly by many beings. Not living in this dimension they exist in a hell-dimension.
Hellhounds (The Prom)
Usually simple soldiers, theses beasts are vicious but are mindless following the orders of their master. Demonic dog like creatures they eat brains. They were bred during the Mahkash wars for being foot soldiers.
The Hellions (Bargaining)
Biker gang of demons. Traveling on bikes they go from town to town creating chaos and looting for fun. The leader is Razor. They were killed when they attempted to take over a town, Sunnydale.
Hitchhiking Demon (Afterlife)
Various types of demons that are able travel along with another being when they are traveling through dimensions. After arriving at the other side they are not able to manifest themselves in form until they kill the first traveler. Until manifestation they appear as a shadow who can possess beings and can physically touch others but cannot be touched themselves. However there is a ritual that can make the creature manifest itself.

Howler Demon (The Ring)
Vicious demons that live in underground sewers. White skinned slimy demons with no hair and clawed hands. They have a sulfuric smell and make an eerie high pitched howl when they fight.
Illyria (A Hole In The World)
One of the Old Ones, pure demons that existed before the human age. Illyria was a great monarch and warrior of the demon age, feared and beloved, until murdered by rivals. To this day, Illyria still has acolytes around the world. It was then left adrift in the Deeper Well, the resting ground for all the Old Ones until recently when Illyria's tomb, containing its essence disappeared and appeared in Los Angeles' Wolfram and Hart. Its essence was freed into the body of Fred, killing her until Illyria could take her body as her own.
Jaarvlen Flesh-Eaters (Dead Things)
Demons that can be summoned. However they are hard to control and might turn on an inexperienced summoner.
Kailiff Demon (Rm w/a Vu)
Demons with horns and ridges on their head and jaw line. They are fierce and extra strong. Usually hired as thugs.
Karathmama Nyuhg (Spin The Bottle)
A family of demons that are nocturnal and horned. Feeds on roots or human effluvia.

Ken (Anne)
From another dimension, 'Ken' was one of many demons living in a hell-dimension accessed through a portal. He disguised himself as a human who worked with runaways. He takes the runaways into the portal where they are turned into mindless slaves until they are too old and are sent back to earth. Time passes rapidly in that dimension and 'Ken' must find many runaways which will not be noticed as missing. He was killed and the portal closed.
Kith'harn Demon (Origin)
Large fighter demons usually hired as thugs and hitmen. In Los Angeles, they're the known henchmen of a warlock called Cyvus Vail.
Kleynack Demons (Reprise)
Robed demons with dark skin and bony limbs. They can travel through dimensions using the power of the Band of Blacknil they wear. It is said that the Kleynack once came into this dimension and raped and killed the humans. The humans were incinerated before they could even attack back. It is reported that a knight wearing a mystical glove blessed by all the powers of light was able to kill the Kleynack. These demons can only be killed by using a mystical glove and grabbing at its throat. Many dark entities use the form of the Kleynack as they do not have to be conjured or summoned and can travel freely from dimensions.
Kungai Demon (Parting Gift)
Slimy Asian demon with a horn on its forehead. The horn has powers to drain the life force out of a being if they are stabbed with it. If the horn is removed, the demon cannot survive. Has ridges on its eyebrow line and is hairless.
Kwaini Demon (The Prodigal)
Peaceful, non violent race of female demons. However they can be turned violent by injecting a substance such as PCP which swells their adrenal glands.
Lagos (Revelations)
A big warrior demon, Lagos wielded a axe and armor suit. He searched for the Glove of Myhnegon but was killed before he could find it. With the Glove he would be given unlimited powers. Has purple eyes and mottled skin. Has jutting fangs and curved horns. Are very tough and strong making them exceptional fighters.
Lei-Ach Demon (Family)
A clan of demons that feed by sucking the marrow from its victims bones. It usually preys around hospitals.
Lilliad Demon (Dad)
Demons that delve in powerful magic linked to the lunar cycle.
Lister Demon (Hero)
Demons who have assimilated into the human society. Human like they have gray skin and wrinkled faces.
Loa (Forgiving)
God-like spirits of Voodun cosmology. One Loa is Legba (burger) who is the master of crossroads and a trickster.
Lohesh (Becoming)
Huge four winged demon, Lohesh was a pure demon who fed on the souls of beings. A sorcerer once became Lohesh during Ascension and decimated the town in hours.
Lubber Demon (Happy Anniversary)
Fanatical sect, awaiting a messiah who will usher in the end of all human life.
Lu-rite Demons (Heartthrob)
A species of demons that have a bad odor. They sometimes have human worshippers.
Lurconis (Band Candy)
A huge eel like demon he lives in the sewers of Sunnydale and every 30 yrs requires a sacrifice from his worshippers. The sacrifice is human babies which Lurconis feeds on. Although extremely fast he was burnt to death.
Lycanthropus Exterus (Unleashed)
Similar to the standard werewolf, this demon is a biped, walks upright and the canines are longer. It was undocumented in North America until recently. It can change another human into a lycanthrope by biting the person. When they are killed, the body returns to human form. It is often considered a delicacy and eaten.
