Daughter of Joyce and Hank Summers, Buffy lived in LA, going to Hemery High. She soon discovers at the age of 15 that she is the next Slayer and her new watcher is Merrick. When Merrick is killed and she is expelled from her school, she and her mother move to Sunnydale, California. At Sunnydale High School she meets her new Watcher Giles and befriends Willow and Xander who become her best friends. She also fell in love with the vampire Angel who has a soul. When she faced the Master she drowned but was revived. Thus the second Slayer was called. When Giles was accused of affection towards Buffy he was fired and she had a new Watcher Wesley but refused to obey orders. After the second Slayer Kendra died Faith was called. She was no longer in a relationship with Angel when he turned evil after they slept together. After restoring his soul the two became merely friends. Buffy left the Council and decided to act on her own. Giles soon became her father figure in her life. As a senior Buffy fought against the Mayor and Faith who had betrayed them and joined the Mayor's side. After graduation, Angel left and she studied at University of California with Willow. Still friends with both Willow and Xander, she also met Riley Finn whom she fell in love with. Soon however she discovered that he was part of the Initiative and she temporarily became part of the team. After the Initiative was destroyed she stayed in University of California until her mother became quite ill. Leaving her studies she went home to take care of her mother and sister Dawn. Her mother had a brain tumor and soon had a operation. When Riley told her that he was leaving to rejoin the Government she was too late to stop him and she was devastated. Meanwhile she was fighting against hell-god Glory who wanted the Key. Buffy soon found that her sister was the Key and was actually created by monks. One afternoon she found her mother dead on the couch and was unable to save her. Her mother had died unexpectedly even after the surgery. Still devastated she fought against Glory to save Dawn. However the dimensions were already opening and the only way to stop it was sacrifice herself. Buffy threw herself off the high tower where she was killed by the mystical energy. After months Buffy was resurrected by Willow in a ritual and brought back from what they thought was hell. However the gang soon learned that they had actually taken her from heaven. Brought back she faced the money problems and many debts. She soon found a job at the Double Meat Palace to bring in at least a little money. She began retaking some classes. Although she hated Spike who claimed he loved her, she began sleeping with him in secret. When Riley returned with a wife she broke off her relationship with Spike. Even though he tried to rape her she was left stunned when he left town. She was shot by Warren and taken to the hospital where Willow appeared and magically extracted the bullet. Buffy tried to stop Willow who was overcome with grief and was using dark magic. When fighting against the summoned monsters with her sister she soon realized that she should not have kept Dawn isolated from the evil. She now trains Dawn to fight vampires and be a good fighter when she enters the world. Buffy has also taken up the job as the new counselor at the new Sunnydale High. There she found a delusion Spike and killing unconsciously under the influence of the First. Buffy continues to train the Slayers in Training who have all gathered in Sunnydale since the decimation of the Watcher's Council. When she faced the Uber vampire that emerged from the seal below Sunnydale High, she was almost killed and it took a lot of strength to slay the vampire. Buffy also went on a date with Principal Wood who turned out to be a freelance fighter against the First. Later Buffy went on a journey to discover the origins of the Slayer but was horrified to learn that the Slayer's origins are rooted in darkness. Buffy continues to push the gang and the SITs to ready for war and despite Giles' warning she refuses to let go a of Spike. However her aggressiveness leads to being kicked out of her own house as the SITs and gang usurp her. Buffy redeems her place by defeating Caleb and with the help of the gang she finally closes the Sunnydale Hellmouth once and for all. No longer the only Chosen One, Buffy leaves Sunnydale with the gang. She rounded up Slayers in Europe and then settled down in Rome with Dawn.
Willow Rosenberg aka Witch aka Research Gal (Brazil)

Daughter of Sheila Rosenberg she was ignored by her parents. A computer whiz and hacker Willow is also a powerful witch. In high school, she was a sweet yet nerdy girl who could hardly speak to a guy. She became a good friend and help in the Scooby Gang with her research and later magic. She then met Oz and this was her first boyfriend. In university, she was no longer nerdy and had taken deeper interest in magic. After problems Oz left Sunnydale and left her devastated. In a Wicca group she met fellow witch Tara whom she then fell in love with. In Uni she left her hacker tricks and performed magic often. She also able to repair the Buffy-bot. When Buffy died she revived her using powerful magic and this was only the beginning. She began using her magic for fun and trivial things. Giles and Tara became angry until Tara finally gave her an ultimatum to stop for a week. Willow used magic on Tara and they broke up. She then turned Amy back into a human and they went around misusing magic. Finally Willow stopped and vowed to go cold turkey. Tara and Willow eventually got back together but soon Tara was killed by a gun, driving Willow with grief. She returned to magic to take vengeance on Warren and even fought against her friends. She used a spell to end all the pain in the world , thus destroying it but was stopped when her best friend Xander finally reached her and she collapsed grieving. Willow also has a fear of frogs. After that she went to England staying with a coven. They helped her work through her pain and learn more to control her magic. After her rehabilitation she returned to her friends who were glad to see her again despite Willow's fears. Willow is still using magic now but struggles to control her addiction to its power. Willow eventually became attracted to Kennedy who was a SIT. However when they kissed, Willow was changed into Warren. At the end, Kennedy helped Willow to figure out that it was okay for them to be together and that Tara was really gone. Although Willow's power is great she cannot use it at the moment because of the fear that she may be possessed by the First during the ritual. Willow momentarily visited LA to help resoul Angel. She caught up with the crew there and then returned with Faith. Numerous times, Willow was asked to do a spell but backed out, afraid of getting out of control. Willow slept with Kennedy who promised to be her anchor to keep her on the ground. In the final battle, Buffy asked Willow to perform a spell that would give every potential Slayer the powers of a Slayer. Using the essence of a mystical scythe, Willow released the white glow. During the spell, the white glow covered her temporarily and it was successful. She left Sunnydale is and is now rounding up Slayers in Brazil.
Alexander LaVelle Harris aka the Zeppo (Africa)

Xander's family is not exactly charming and are usually drunk. Funny and sarcastic in high school, Xander has always been the Zeppo or normal one. Still he is a vital part of the Scooby Gang. Best friends with Willow and Buffy he originally had a crush on Buffy but she only saw him as a friend. Not exactly one of the cool crowd he and Cordelia were always fighting and arguing until shock horror they become attracted and start dating. They broke up however when he cheated on her with Willow. After that he started dating ex-demon Anya. After high school, Xander planned a trip but came back to live in his parent's basement paying rent. At first he felt left out by the new college Buffy and Willow. Anya returned and they started dating again. Recently Xander proposed and the wedding was planned but on the day Xander was visited by a demon posing as future-Xander. Even after finding it was a demon he called off the wedding devastating Anya. He and Anya are no longer dating. He has worked as a bar tender once but now has a steady job as a construction worker. He no longer lives in his parent's basement and has his own apartment. Xander has a fear of clowns. Xander now continues with his work and he and Anya have become friends again. When Anya killed an entire room of people, Xander refused to give up on her and said that he still loved her. Xander has tried dating other people including Lisa but soon discovered that she worked for the First. When chance finally came, Xander and Anya finally discussed their situation and both confessed that they loved each other but aren't sure what it meant. They slept together and decided finally that they will always be in love but they were over. During an ambush on the Bringers, Xander helped to get to get the SITs out retreating from Caleb who had overpowered them. But before getting himself out he was caught by Caleb who dug his thumb into Xander's left eye. Screaming in pain, Xander was taken to the hospital. However the damage was done and his eyesocket was bandaged. After that Xander bravely continued to joke about it and even put on a eye patch from Halloween. He continued fighting with the gang but felt a little put out when Buffy asked him to take Dawn out of Sunnydale. However Dawn drove back and Xander was there at the final battle. After the battle and escaping the collapsing hellmouth, Xander was anxious to ask about Anya who had failed to get out in time. He was saddened that she had died but was proud that she had died fighting to save Andrew. He's currently in Brazil rounding up Slayers.
Rupert Giles aka The Watcher aka Giles (Britain)

Rupert or Giles is the current Watcher of Buffy. His father and grand mother were also Watchers. At the age of 10 he was told by his father that he was destined to be a Watcher. As a youth he was rebellious, not wanting to be a Watcher, and delved in dark magic of evil. He was also called Ripper and tended to be violent. However he soon settled to become the tea-loving, stuffy Watcher that Buffy met. From England he was sent by the council to train Buffy. Though Buffy wasn't exactly enthusiastic as a Slayer they soon developed a affectionate relationship. However in a Slayer Trial Giles was fired by the Council because he had developed a unhealthy paternal relationship with her. Because of the absence of her own father Giles became the father figure and mentor for Buffy even after he was fired. Later he was reinstated by the Council when Buffy agreed to work for them again. Originally he worked as the Sunnydale High school librarian until the school was destroyed. Then he became unemployed for a while before he became the owner to the Magic Box. However when Buffy died he decided to hand the store over to Anya and return to England. He returned temporarily when Buffy was brought back but left again because he felt that Buffy needed to learn to be independent. When things with Willow got out of hand he stepped in to help. However he was still not enough and she drained him of his power and left him to die. With the help of Anya he was saved and brought Willow to a coven in England. He stayed there with Willow until he decided to send her back to help Buffy. Soon after she left, Giles found the Watcher's Council in great trouble. Many Watcher's and SITs were slaughtered. The Headquarters was also destroyed. Eventually he gathered what remained of the SITs and headed for Sunnydale. With not much time, he quickly became part of the team again to help train the girls to prepare for the First. For a while, the gang suspected that Giles was the First but that was soon fixed up when they jumped on him. Giles has tried to be a supportive figure to Buffy but is dismayed by the thought of Spike's involvement and the dependence they had on each other. Convinced Spike was a liability because of the trigger which turned him into a monster, Giles distracted Buffy while Wood was sent to kill Spike. However Buffy found out and Wood failed. Giles tried to reason about Spike but he had destroyed the last shred of trust he had with her. She no longer needed him. In the final battle, Giles and Buffy worked together again and finally resolved their differences. Giles was unsure that Buffy wanted his advice anymore was glad when she smiled and asked him for it. Now Giles is in Britains to found the new Watcher's Council, training Slayers and mentoring Andrew to become a Watcher.
Daniel Osbourne aka Oz (Unknown)

Turned into a vengeance demon a thousand years ago by D'Hoffran when she turned her cheating boyfriend into a troll, she grants the wishes of wronged women. However when she granted Cordelia's wish her necklace which is the source of her power was destroyed by Giles. The wish was reversed and she found herself a human and powerless. She went to D'Hoffran again but he refused to turn back time for her so she was stuck in Sunnydale as a mortal girl who was flunking math. As a human she now felt all the emotions and feelings of one. She started dating Xander and they went to the prom together. When she heard the Ascension was coming she left Sunnydale and strangely cared for Xander. When she returned she started dating Xander again. Even though she was a human, she was a demon for a thousand years and didn't know how to act as one. Completely blunt and saying the obvious she became one of the Scooby Gang. She and Xander fell in love despite her past male-hating ways. Learning to be a human she soon found a great love for money and was hired by Giles to take care of the Magic Box which was soon left to her when he left. Xander finally proposed to her but they postponed their engagement for a while due to Buffy's death. They soon organized their wedding bringing Xander's drunken family and Anya's demon friends together. But on the day, Xander was visited by a demon who posed as the future Xander warning him of marrying Anya. Even after they found out it was a demon Xander called off the wedding because of his fears. Anya was devastated. When she was offered the vengeance demon job again she accepted and became a demon again. She tried to make the others make a horrible wish on Xander but failed. Hurt by Xander she still helped to maintain the shop and help the Scooby Gang. When Willow tried to destroy the world Anya stayed by Giles' side as he was about to die. After this Anya became reserved in her work as a vengeance demon, closing the Magic Box and separating from the gang. She found that although she had gotten her powers back, she no longer found satisfaction in torturing men. She was even shocked when she caused the slaughter of 12 frat boys. She tried to hide it and was deeply disturbed by what she'd done. She and Buffy fought it off and Anya was ready to fight to the death until D'Hoffryn appeared. He decided to give back the lives of the 12 boys but only if he got something in return. A vengeance demon's life. To her surprise, Halfrek a fellow demmon was killed while Anya was reduced to a mere mortal again. At the end Anya was confused. She had nothing left of herself. No job, no husband, no life. She didn't know who she was with nothing to define herself as. She has now decided to aid the gang against the First and has even become friends with Xander again. Although they slept together, they both found that they had really gotten over each other. Anya still cared for Xander and was angry at Buffy when Xander was injured by Caleb. In the last days, Anya revealed to Andrew that she although she found humans stupid, she really admired that they fought for something they really cared about. Anya vowed to die fighting against the First if it came to that. At the final battle, Anya and Andrew fight alongside bravely. Anya saves Andrew but is then instantly killed by a Bringer. Anya hade a fear of bunnies.

Tara first met Willow in University of California at a Wiccan group. Both soon discovered that the group was so fake and began practicing magic together on their own. The bonded together when using their magic as one to protect themselves from the Gentlemen. Quiet and stammering Tara gained confidence when practicing magic with Willow and the two became friends. They soon became lovers as well. Part of the Scooby Gang now she originally felt left out and invisible. The others didn't know her that well. However when her family came to visit, she revealed that she was half demon. Her family ordered her to come home where they knew how to take care of the problem. But Spike soon discovered that this was just a cover up to keep the females of the family in line. Tara was relieved to be a human and when her family tried to force her to go the Scooby Gang stood up for her telling her family that Tara wasn't going to leave unless she wanted. She is now closer friends with the Scooby Gang helping with research and magic. When Glory suspected she was the Key she crushed Tara's hand and took he mind. Tara became insane until Willow did a spell to reverse the effects. However when Willow began misusing magic Tara gave her an ultimatum, that she would stop for one week. Willow did a spell to make Tara forget they had the fight and when Tara found out she left Willow. After Willow finally went cold turkey they got back together but just when things were good, Tara was shot accidentally by Warren with a gun. She died immediately and could not be resurrected. She also became good friends with Buffy when Buffy's mother died and when Buffy confided with her of her relationship with Spike. Tara or so it seemed was channeled through Cassie to speak with Willow from the spirit world. 'Tara' knew intimate detail but when she told Willow to kill herself, the cover was blown. Willow knew that this wasn't the real 'Tara' but the First.
Riley Finn aka Commando

Working as a teaching assistant in Psychology in University of California he was also part of the Initiative capturing demons and monsters. When he fell in love with Buffy they both thought they were dating a normal person but soon found out each other's secret. He introduced Buffy to the Initiative, a government funded demon control setup. His mentor was Professor Walsh who was soon killed by Adam. He found that the woman who was like his mother was actually a crazy scientist who created a monster. He also soon discovered that he was being fed drugs that made him stronger than usual. He stayed with the Initiative but was now less disciplined and questioned the project's aims. Buffy and Riley were still lovers even after discovering each other's secret. When he was forced to choose between saving Buffy's friend Oz who was a werewolf and obeying protocol he threatened his own superior and became a fugitive. He became part of the Scooby Gang after the Initiative was destroyed but still couldn't find his purpose. Even though he loved Buffy he found that she didn't really love him or need him. When in the hospital the doctors were startled to find his heart rate was rapid. The drugs had affected him and he had stopped feeling pain. Refusing to be operated on he could die from a heart attack. He finally gave in and became a normal human. He was powerless compared to Buffy. He started hanging around in vampire bars where people paid for vampires to feed on them. When Spike led Buffy to find his secret, she was shocked and disgusted. Riley tried to explain that she didn't need him and that the vampires did. At the same time he was asked to rejoin a army team to destroy demons in a remote forest but he wanted to stay with Buffy. He gave her an ultimatum that if she didn't confess she needed him he was going to leave. Angry Buffy refused until she finally ran to the helicopter base. Riley waited a while and sadly left in the helicopter just as Buffy came screaming his name but he couldn't hear of see her. He fought against demons in the jungle and got married to a fellow soldier Sam. When he returned to Sunnydale, he found that Buffy was sleeping with Spike. He was no longer in love with Buffy and after the assignment left again with his wife. He is still a contact of Buffy and even helped out when Spike's chip began malfunctioning and ordered an operation for him.
Dawn Summers aka The Key (Rome)

The younger child in the Summer's family, Dawn was unknowingly created from a group of monks. They changed the Key which is a energy form that melts the walls between the world and other hell-dimensions. To prevent it from being misused they turned the Key into a form of a human, Dawn Summers so that Buffy would protect it with her life. The monks also created their memories as if she had been in their lives for years now which was actually a few weeks. Dawn didn't know that she was the Key and found out from with the help of Spike from Giles's Watcher's diaries. Shocked she realised she wasn't real and cut herself deliberately wondering if the blood was real. While others thought she was just a human, insane people could instantly tell she was different. She and Buffy are sisters and have their fights and hugs. When Buffy found out she was shocked but still loved her because she was her sister. Dawn loves helping in the Scooby gang even though she was the youngest. When their mother died she tried to resurrect her but luckily she broke the spell before she could find her mom. When Glory realised she was the Key she captured Dawn and tied her to a tower that was at the right elevation for the ritual. Glory was killed but the strange man- demon appeared and cut her with a knife. She started bleeding thus opening the walls. The walls would only return when the blood flowed no more. Dawn was saved by Buffy and tried to kill herself to stop the opening. Buffy wouldn't let her and she soon realised that Buffy and Dawn shared the same blood. Dawn watched crying as her sister jumped off the tower killing herself by the energy shocks. After Buffy's death Dawn stayed in Sunnydale with the Buffy-bot posing as Buffy so that the Child Services wouldn't take her away. When Buffy was resurrected Dawn was the one who got through to the traumatized Buffy. Dawn is currently under the guardianship of Buffy who is being carefully watched by the Child Services. Dawn has just started school in the new Sunnydale High school. Adopting to her new school, Dawn quickly fell into her own group of Scoobies. At home, Dawn became disappointed when all the SITs came and Buffy started to train more with them and eventually stopped training with Dawn. She felt left out until the point where she thought that she was a SIT. A spell by Willow seemed to point to Dawn as a SIT. Dawn was overwhelmed and eventually snuck out to get some air. There she bumped into a school friend Amanda. Together they went off to school where they looked for a vampire. The Bringers came and Dawn got ready to fight. However, the Bringers headed straight for Amanda instead. Understanding, Dawn realized that Amanda was the real SIT and quickly gave up her spotlight to her instead. Disappointed that she was just ordinary again, Xander came up and gave her a pep talk. Dawn realizes that she isn't just special she's extraordinary. She's one of the people who will always live so near to the spotlight but never touch it. Dawn was heartbroken when she had to kick Buffy out of the house in order for Buffy to have a little off time. After Buffy Xander tried to, under Buffy's request, to knock out Dawn and take her out of Sunnydale for her own safety. Dawn was furious and when she woke up she knocked out Xander with a taser and drove back to Sunnydale, determined to fight with Buffy. During the final battle, Dawn fought alongside Xander and made it out of Sunnydale with Buffy. She and Buffy then went to Europe to round up Slayers. They settled in Rome, where Dawn now attends high school.
