As a human Angel was a Irish man called Liam who was a drunken disappointment to his family. One night he met Darla who sired him, making him a vampire. As Angelus now, he killed his family and relatives wreaking havoc with his lover Darla over Europe. He left with Darla from the Order of Aurelius. However in 1860 he became obsessed with a Catholic girl Drusilla and drove her insane before siring her. He traveled the world with Darla, Drusilla and Spike until one night when Darla brought him a young gypsy girl. After feeding Angelus was cursed by the Kladerash clan who gave him back his soul and if he experienced one moment of true happiness it would be taken away again. Angelus given a soul had full memory of his deeds and a conscience. Driven away by a disgusted Darla he lived in the streets feeding on rats until he met Whistler who showed him Buffy Summers. Angel began to seek redemption by helping Buffy the Vampire Slayer but also fell in love with her. When Darla returned he killed her to save Buffy. When they made love however the curse took away his soul and he became Angelus again. Willow was able to restore his soul but Buffy was forced to send him to hell to save the world. Surprisingly Angel was brought back by the First. He and Buffy were no longer lovers and after her graduation he left to LA. There he established Angel Investigations with Cordelia and Doyle fighting against evil for the Powers That Be. After Doyle died Wesley joined the team and soon also Gunn. When Darla was brought back as a human, he tried to save her but she was turned by Drusilla. Angel soon fired his team and became evil even with a soul. Bent on destroying Wolfram adn Hart he gained access to the Home Office aka Hell but to his horror discovered that Hell was on earth. When he slept with Darla in despair she shockingly became pregnant even though it was impossible. Angel soon joined Wesley's team again. When the baby, Connor was born Darla killed herself. A past enemy Holtz stole Connor and jumped into a hell dimension. Angel was devastated. Wesley was sacked as the boss when he helped Holtz. When Holtz and Connor escaped they had both aged immensely. In a few months Connor was a teen and believed Holtz was his father and Angel was evil. When Holtz died Connor blamed Angel and pretended to be happy with Angel. He betrayed Angel, locking in a metal box and dropping him in the ocean. Angel didn't die but instead was starved for blood and had hallucinations. He keeps in touch with Buffy but knows that their love is doomed. He is now in love with Cordelia and lives in the hotel. He was rescued from the ocean by Wesley and when he returned threw Conner out of the hotel. After recovering, he spent his energies trying to find Cordelia. He eventually learnt that she had become a higher being and accepted that she would help more people there than here. However unexpectedly, she returned with no memory of who she was. When they got back her memory, Angel confronted Cordelia about their love. He was hurt and jealous when Cordelia slept with Conner, his son, but decided to put that away to save the world. The entire crew were shocked when they learnt that the current baddy the Beast knew Angelus from the past yet Angel could not remember anything. As a result, they brought back Angelus. Angelus was able to escape from the cell and wreaked havoc in LA. Soon though Angelus was confronted with the voice of the boss of the Beast who wanted Angelus to work with. However Angelus refused and even faced off with Faith who had been sent to kill Angelus. Angelus managed to kill the Beast for kicks and fed on Faith. However she was drugged and as a result both Angelus and Faith descended into a coma dream like state. In his dreams, Angelus relived all moments in Angel's life. Angelus and Angel fought off in his body until Angelus was resouled. With Angel back and the Beast back everything seemed fine. Until Cordelia revealed that she was pregnant with Conner's baby. Angel was hurt once more. He suspected that Cordelia must be the master of the Beast and it was confirmed. They attempted to kill Cordelia but Conner intervened, not knowing that she was evil. Angel was devastated at the point of killing Cordelia but decided that it must be done to kill the thing that will be born from her. He was just about to kill her when he was thrown back by energy and Cordelia gave birth. What appeared was a beautiful woman. Angel fell under her spell and as did everyone began to worship her. With the help of Fred, Angel seems Jasmine's true nature and ventures to another dimension to find a way to defeat her. He returns quickly with the head of her head priest. The head screams out her true name and in turn, her real appearance is shown to everyone. After defeating her, Angel is desperate to find Conner and Cordelia. Seeing Conner's despairing state, Angel accepts the Wolfram and Hart branch of LA. He uses WFH's resources to wipe Conner's existence giving him a fresh start in a loving, normal family. After seeing Conner's happiness, Angel ventures to Sunnydale to help Buffy. He gives her an important amulet and then leaves knowing that she doesn't need him there. He is put out about Spike's soul and even jealous about Buffy's love for Spike but leaves on good terms.

Cordelia Chase aka Cordy (Deceased)

Rich and popular Cordelia has always teased Willow, Xander and Buffy. As part of the cool crowd she was always fashionable and had her own clique following her around. She dated many guys and her smart comments were even considered artistic. Enemies with Xander, she was self-centered until she began joining the Scooby Gang. To her disgust she even fell in love with Xander and dated him. The Gang soon found that Cordelia was caring and even smart. However Cordelia was teased and exiled from the cool crowd when they found that she was dating a loser. When she found Xander cheating on her with Willow, she ran up the stairs which collapse and she was impaled. She broke up with him immediately and left the Scooby Gang. During her senior year, she discovered that her parents had neglected the pay taxes for years now. She was bankrupt and couldn't afford new clothes or to go to any of the universities she was accepted. She had to work now in retail to afford her dress for the prom. She flirted with Buffy's new Watcher Wesley who she thought was classy. After graduation she went to LA to try to get into acting. There she met up again with Angel and Doyle to start Angel Investigations. Even with no special abilities she still designed the business card and managed the money and payment issues. She had her own apartment with Dennis the Ghost. When Doyle died she was given the power of visions which were messages from the Powers That Be. These were painful but she still stayed on the job. She was able to act in some commercials but could not get a steady job. She was extremely hurt when Angel fired them but the two reconciled later. She started taking fighting lessons from Angel and the two grew close. However she found out later that he had slept with Darla and lied to her. When she was transported to another dimension, the people crowned her Princess because of her visions. She met Grusalog and fell in love. When she left, she gave the title over to him and made that dimension a democracy. When she returned her visions got worse and she was constantly taking aspirins to soothe her headaches.  She was turned into a demon by the Powers That Be to save her life as humans were not meant to have visions. Her visions were no longer painful and she had strange powers as well. Grue decided to live with her but he left when he discovered that she didn't love him. She was learning fighting skills from Angel and the two fell in love. On the night they were going to reveal their feelings Cordelia was taken by the Powers That Be. They said that because she had suffered the visions and had used her new powers for good she had risen to a higher plane where she could do more good. However she was to leave right then and was not able to say goodbye to her friends. Cordelia disappeared in a flash of light. As a higher being, Cordelia watched from above as the crew tried to find her. Unexpectedly Cordelia was sent back down with no memory at all. She befriended Conner and after a spell was done to revive her memory, Cordelia continued to stay there unable to face the crew. She confessed that she loved Angel but wasn't sure of what to do. When the Beast attacked, Cordelia slept with Conner when they were about to die. However after that she regretted it since she didn't love Conner but Angel. While the crew fought the Beast, Cordelia was controlling it all. For she was the Beast's master. She stole Angel's soul and killed any opposition will charming Conner back. Cordelia then had a bigger surprise. She was pregnant with Conner's baby. When Lorne began to regain his powers back, Cordelia tried to kill him but was caught by the crew and revealed to them that she was the Beast's master. She fled with Conner who didn't know she was evil and persuaded him to help her and their child. She used a spell so that the baby would be born then. Angel interrupted, ready to kill Cordelia when she gave birth and then immediately fell into a deep coma. The crew use Cordelia's blood to reveal Jasmine's true appearance. After that, Cordelia is taken to a secret place to hide her from the crew. Angel finds her and Cordelia is taken to WFH where she is given the best medical and supernatural care possible. Cordelia eventually woke up again and helped set Angel back on his path again. Afterwards, the gang go out to celebrate. Cordelia pulls Angel aside and tells him that she can't stay. Her return was simply a last request from the PTB to come back and help Angel out. She kisses Angel goodbye. Suddenly, the phone rings. Angel goes to pick it up and turns around to find Cordelia gone. The call is from the hospital. Cordelia had passed away in her coma. She never woke up. Later, it is revealed that in that goodbye kiss, Cordelia gave Angel her visions, but it was a once-only deal. It showed him the real powers behind WFH.

Allen Francis Doyle aka Doyle (Deceased)

Doyle was a half Brachen demon on his father's side. He is able to hide his demon side and can revert back to a green prickly demon able to smell and locate objects. Born Irish Doyle had no intention whatsoever of helping anyone, only drinking at the pubs. Never knowing his parents, Doyle was unaware of his demon side until his 21st birthday. He married Harriet (Harry) before he as 20 but their marriage quickly ended when he learnt of his demon side. Unable to cope and accept it, Doyle soon lost Harry who actually studied demons and accepted them.  Denying his heritage, he was approached by one of his own in need of help but turned him away refusing to accept his demon side. Later he found the bodies of some of his kind including the one who had sought his help, murdered. Four years later in LA he is sent by the Powers That Be to guide Angel. Doyle also has visions sent by the Powers showing an innocent in need of help or emerging evils. Working in Angel Investigations with Cordelia he developed an interest in her but could never get the courage to ask her out. He also kept his demon aspect from her afraid of what she might think. Just the messenger he finally proved himself when he saved a ship full of his own kind from Pure demons who was dedicated to destroying all hybrids. However to save the demons he jumped to the energy machine turning it off as he was burnt to death himself by the machine. Cordelia found out just before that Doyle was a half demon. Angry she demanded to know why he had kept it from her. Before he died he kissed Cordelia unintentionally passing his visions to her. 

Wesley Wyndam Price (Deceased)

Introduced as a new Watcher to both Buffy and Faith after Giles's sacking, Wesley soon found that the Slayers had no interest in working with him. He had a temporary flirting interest with Cordelia. The Slayers didn't follow his orders or planning. Much a coward he had only faced two vampires in 'controlled circumstances' and even betrayed them instantly when his life was in danger. He was willing to sacrifice Willow to keep the Gavrok Spiders from the Mayor. When he had overheard that Faith had killed a man he immediately informed the Council without rehabilitating her. The Council and him barged in when Angel was reaching her and captured Faith in their van for judgment This inevitably led to Faith's total mistrust of the world and people around her. When Buffy also quit the Council he was to be deported back to England but stayed to help revealing that under the cowardly British wimp was a caring person. Once over he was sent back to the Council who found that in his care one Slayer had quit and another become rogue and now in a coma. They fired him and he became a rogue demon hunter. This hunting led him to LA where met Angel and Cordelia again. He helped them on that case and soon became one of the team in Angel Investigations. With his know knowledge of demonology he was able to provide valuable information. When Angel fired the team he regrouped the team and became a leader. He adopted fighting skills and bravery compared to his former shallow self. He then had a momentary interest in Fred who was also incredibly smart beyond her years but she fell in love with Gunn. He also felt incredibly ashamed for when he tried to kill her due to the effect of a man who could make men release their most primal aggression and dominance. He soon translated prophecies that said that Angel would kill his own son Connor. Driven crazy by the prophecies he imagined Angel committing the act over and over again. Wesley told no one else and then took Connor out for a walk where he hoped to flee and take Connor somewhere safe. However on the way his throat was slit by Holtz's follower and Connor was taken. Left to die he was eventually found and placed in a hospital. By now the rest of the team had noticed his disappearance and found the notes of the prophecy. Angry that he took Connor and hid this from his friends they turned on him. Angel even tried to kill him. When he recovered he returned home with his office stuff to a darkened room with no cards from his friends. He even found out that the prophecy was false written by a demon and that he had lost everything because of it. He found himself all alone except for Wolfram and Hart lawyer Lilah who saw his potential and tried to convince him of joining them. He refused and the two slept together. They developed a strange relationship playing both sides of the game but they still genuinely  loved each other. Wesley rescued Angel from the ocean by using Justine. Wesley still in love with Fred continued to watch her despite his relationship with Lilah. He eventually joined forces with Angel again to battle against the Beast and its master. When Lilah died, Wesley grieved and even had hallucinations of her. Working with the team again, Wesley eventually kissed Fred. Even Wesley fell under the spell of Jasmine, Cordelia and Conner's son. After falling out of the spell, Wesley discovers that Jasmine originated from another dimension. He gives Angel a orb to travel to that world. After Jasmine's defeat, Wesley is back with the crew. When Lilah returns, since her contract with WFH is not over yet, Wesley is shocked and shaken. He ventures into WFH filing cabinets and finds Lilah's contract. He burns it only to find another copy in the cabinet afterwards. He tries to save Lilah and finally give her the rest she deserves. Lilah thanks him for trying anyway. Wesley and the gang soon begin work at WFH, where Wesley is given access to the WFH's vast library. When Wesley's father appears at WFH, Wesley is obviously flustered. His father turns out to have betrayed Wesley to get to Angel. When his father threatens Fred, Wesley empties an entire gun's ammunition into him. It turns out to be a robot posing as his father, but Wesley is still upset that he killed his own father without hesitation. Although, he still has feelings for Fred, Wesley gives up hope until Fred finally confesses to her own feelings towards him. Wesley is overjoyed and the two get together. However, Fred becomes infected by the essence of an Old One, Illyria. Wesley and the gang try desperately to find a way to save Fred. As Fred slowly dies, as they try to find a way to save her, Wesley stays with Fred, watching as she slowly became weaker and eventually died in his arms. Wesley is devastated and grieving. When he learns of Gunn's involvement in Fred's death, he is furious and stabs Gunn with a scalpel. Still grieving, he is determined to kill Illyria, who is now existing in Fred's body. However, Illyria later asks for Wesley's help to help her fit into this world. Wesley agrees to help her. Because, she looks like Fred. Over his grief, Wesley becomes obsessed with Illyria. However when Illyria turns into Fred's appearance and pretends to be Fred, during her parent's visit, Wesley is overwhelmed. He orders Illyria to never pretend to be Fred ever again. Soon, he suspects that Angel has been corrupted and even played a part in Fred's death. However, he soon learns that it is an act. To get into the Circle of the Black Thorn and destroy the SP's power on earth. Wesley agrees to help Angel in this final fight, no matter the risks. On the day before the fight, Wesley spends his day with Illyria and tells her that pretending to be Fred would be a lie and he couldn't live with it. Playing his part in the final battle, Wesley confronts Vail the sorcerer. He uses fireballs to fight Vail but Vail is stronger and holds Wesley immobile with magic. Vail stabs Wesley in the chest with a sword. Wesley manages to knock Vail back. He falls to the floor just as Illyria appears to help. The wound is fatal and he's dying. Illyria transforms into Fred, at his request, and the two kiss goodbye. Wesley dies there, in Fred's arms.

Charles Gunn aka Gunn (Deceased)

Originally living in a shelter, Gunn looked after his little sister Alonna. He soon became a neighborhood hero and gathered a team to help protect the homeless kids in his area. Street wise he was also good at heart just looking after his sister. He also protected the neighborhood from vampires with his team, chasing them down to make the neighborhood safer. He met Angel when his team chased his down. Angel took Alonna hostage then let her go and even saved her life. Unsure he let Angel go but warned him. However one day in their hide out they are bombarded by tear gas driving the group out. Ready to fight the vamps, Gunn realizes too late that the ones that ran  out including Alonna were immediately kidnapped into a van. Unable to save his sister he gathers a group of rescuers refusing to use Angel's help because he's a vampire. At the warehouse, he enters to find that he is too late. Alonna has become a vampire and Gunn blames himself that he couldn't save her. She offers to turn him so they can be together and just as she reaches to bite him he stakes her. He later accepts help to kill the vamps that killed Alonna and they decide to stay in contact in case of help. Gunn helps several times with Angel Investigations until he finally joins them on the payroll. He frequently uses his street contacts, fighting skills, weapons and knowledge to help. Later he found that his team that he left behind to join Angel Investigation had developed on its own and blamed him for joining the vampire. Still a hero in the neighborhood, he decided to stay with Angel Investigations though sometimes felt torn between helping Angel and team or his neighborhood gang. He also encountered his old crew who were now hunting demons and killing them for fun. When they burst into Lorne's club killing demons, Gunn finally stepped in telling they had lost the mission. They were killing demons that were completely harmless or even helpful like Lorne. Accusing him of being soft on demons they tried to make him kill Angel to prove himself. Afterwards Gunn confessed that he and Angel are just working together and that they could never be friends because his kind killed his sister. Although seemingly different, Gunn and Fred soon fell in love. Although at the beginning Gunn hated all demons and vampires, he now realizes that some are good such as Angel. He and Fred are holding down the fort, looking after Connor while they continually search for Angel and Cordelia who have disappeared. However his relationship with Fred soon went down. Gunn killed a man deliberately to stop Fred from killing him herself. They broke up but when Wesley and Fred kissed, Gunn became furious. Later, Gunn worked with Gwen on a assignment to help her control her powers. After they worked together, the two became friends and they slept together. Gunn remains friends with Fred. When they moved into WFH, Gunn met the Conduit, the black panther in the White Room. Later, Gunn was given an brain upgrade, giving him vast law knowledge and smarts. Finally, Gunn thought he had made himself into something more that the muscle and become someone important. He was overjoyed with his new 'powers'. However, when they started to fade, he became desperate and went to the WFH doctor. The doctor agreed to give Gunn a permanent upgrade but only if Gunn worked a few deals out for the doctor. Desperate, Gunn signed the papers and returned the next day with a full lawyer upgrade. However, he soon found out that the papers he signed was to get the Illyria sarcophagus out of customs, leading to Fred's death. He's horrified and doesn't tell anyone else of his involvement. When he confronts the doctor, Wesley finds out and stabs him. While Gunn is recovering in hospital, he's overwhelmed with self-disgust and guilt. Finally, Angel convinces Gunn to come back to work. When they rescue Lindsey from another dimension, Gunn sacrifices himself by staying there in Lindsey's place. He's subjected to torture but is later freed by Illyria. He gets back to work, but no longer fools himself about who he is and what it cost him. When Angel asks Gunn if he is willing to fight with him even if it'll mean death, Gunn accepts. He spends the day before the fight, helping Anne out at the shelter. Later that day, he's assigned to kill the Senator of the Circle. He walks into the Senator's campaign room which is flooded with vampire aides. Gunn dusts them and kills the Senator. However, by the time he stumbles down the alley to meet the gang, he's been fatally injured with the chest. As they face the demons, Gunn manages to stand and fight, even though he has only about 10 minutes to live.

Winifred Burkle aka Fred (Deceased)

When Cordelia had a vision of Fred being sucked into a portal years ago they found that she had disappeared in the book stacks of a library while reading a book and had not been seen for years. Then Cordelia was unexpectedly sucked in too. There she was captured as a 'cow' (human) and used for labour by Lorne's kind. There she met Fred who had become strange and eccentric from living in this place, Pylea. Fred attempted to help Cordelia escape but she was taken away. Later she met Angel who had come to find Cordelia along with the rest of the team. She was taken to a beheading block where Angel who was proclaimed a hero there was to kill her with an axe. Shocked by the people's barbarism Angel escaped riding off with Fred on a horse. Afraid she ran off to her secret cave where she had hid for a while. Inside she had created a safe home. On the walls were calculations and words written by her. She explained to Angel who had followed her here that she had tried to return home but couldn't figure out the right calculations. When Angel became the beast uncontrolled Fred lured him back where he was able to recover. She was hopeful that Angel would stay with her and that she would take care of him. Angel decided to leave and she followed to help. She met Wesley and Gunn and helped Angel fight against the Grusalogg. When the Coven were finally defeated she was able to use the correct formulas found in the special volumes and transported them back to home. There she was still disorientated staying up in her room, afraid to come out. She grew attached to Angel whom she saw as her knight. After she overcame her fear she was visited by her parents who were looking for her. Afraid she ran away until she finally confronted them and broke down in tears. She was ready to return home with her parents convinced that she wasn't a real part of Angel Investigations but later helped them defeat the demons with her invention. Wesley fell in love with her never approached her so she fell in love with Gunn instead. After Wesley left he still came to help Fred when she was in danger. When Angel and Cordelia disappeared she and Gunn took care of Connor. She became a mother to Connor but when she found out that he had imprisoned Angel she became furious and upset that she had cared for him all that time. Having taken on Angel's role during his disappearance Fred finally vented her anger when Gunn died but was revived. She told him that she was sick of doing everything and being strong while everyone had gone. Later Fred held a seminar for a Science Forum where in the middle of her talk a dimension opened and she was almost taken away again. She soon learnt that her professor was the one who had opened it and the one that had sent her to Pylea because he considered her to be competition in his career. Fred was shocked and betrayed, deciding that kill the Professor before he killed anymore students by sending them to another dimension. She called on Wesley's help and almost killed the professor but Gunn intervened killing him himself. Neither told anyone about what they did and soon the two broke up, unable to deal with what they'd done. As Fred worked with Wesley again, she kissed him but didn't allow anything more to happen. She became jealous when Gunn went on an assignment with Gwen. When Jasmine was born, Fred was also charmed. However when Jasmine's shirt was stained with Jasmine's blood, Fred became obsessed with washing it out so much that she bled. Their blood mixed together and when Fred looked at Jasmine, the disgusting monster underneath was revealed. Fred show Wesley but instead the crew turned on her. Alone, Fred was forced to run out and find a way to save the day by herself. She discovers the key to revealing Jasmine's nature is her blood. She soon convinces the rest of the crew the truth who help her defeat Jasmine. Afterwards, the gang are offered the WFH branch of LA, which they accept. Fred is put in charge of WFH's huge science lab and department, with a cute guy called Knox as her assistant. Fred learns to enjoy working at WFH and even develops an interest in Knox, much to Wesley's disappointment. However, Fred soon realizes that she just wants to be friends with Knox and is actually in love with Wesley. After some subtle hints, Fred finally comes right out and admits that she has feelings for Wesley and kisses him. The two become a couple. However, when Fred receives a mysterious sarcophagus in her lab, she is curious. When she touches it, it opens, releasing dust which she enhales. Soon after, Fred gets seriously sick and they soon find out that Fred has been infected by the essence of an Old One, Illyria, which was kept dormant in the sarcophagus. Eventually, she will die and Illyria will be reborn into her body. The gang try desperately to find a way to save her. They learn that Knox is actually one of Illyria's acolytes, who chose Illyria to be the vessel. Angel and Spike find a cure, but in curing her, it'll instead allow Illyria to infect thousands more of innocent people. Fred becomes weak and feverish, while Wesley stays with her. They spend her last hours together, as Fred dies in Wesley's arms, determined not to be afraid. After she dies, her eyes turn ice blue. Her body starts to convulse, throwing Wesley across the room. When the body gets up, her hair, eyes and face are blue. It is Illyria.

Connor Reilly (Unknown)

Born miraculously from two vampires which was impossible, Connor was the son of Angel and Darla. When Angel slept with Darla then told her to leave he never expected for her to return pregnant. Unsure of what was growing inside her Darla travelled the world looking for help from mystical shamans and wise demons. None were able to help her so she returned to LA to see 'Daddy' again. Everyone was shocked. Suddenly everyone was pursuing Darla to kill the baby, worship it or study it. They were chased by vampire worshippers, Wolfram and Hart scientists, hired assassins and Holtz. Strangely, Connor was human with a soul and Darla briefly became good. When he was finally born in the rain she staked herself afterwards. Baby Connor was looked after by Angel and everyone at Angel Investigations who loved the little baby. Angel also got very protective and attached to Connor. However Connor was constantly under threat from Wolfram and Hart who wanted to dissect him and Holtz. When Wesley found a prophecy foretelling that Angel would kill Connor, Wesley took Connor away, but he was stopped by Holtz's follower who stole Connor. Holtz now had Connor and planned to run away to raise Connor as his own son. Holtz was trapped in a stalemate with Angel, portal demon and Wolfram and Hart. When the portal demon opened up to a hell dimension, Angel let Holtz jump through with Connor to save Connor's life. Living in a hell-dimension Connor grew up rapidly due to the time difference in this world. He knew himself as Stephen and Holtz was his father. Growing up in a hell-dimension he quickly learned to fight, developing a deep hatred to demons and vampires and had a hardened personality. When he returned through another portal along with Holtz he quickly greeted his shocked father and shot a self designed stake at him. He instantly fought against his father demonstrating his father's strength then ran out of the hotel. He returned to Holtz 'his father' and told him of his meeting with Angel. Conner was determined that Holtz was his father and that Angel like all demons were evil. Holtz convinced Conner to join with Angel so that he could learn. Conner joined with Angel momentarily but then heard that Angel had gone to kill Holtz. Holtz meanwhile had Justine kill him by stabbing two holes in his neck so it seemed like he had died from Angel. Conner arrived thinking Angel had killed Holtz and vowed vengeance. For a while he remained with Angel pretending to be happy while he planned his revenge. One night Conner met Angel at a lookout. There with the help of Justine he locked Angel into a cage. They drove out into the ocean while Angel tried to tell Conner the truth. Conner then tossed the cage with Angel into the ocean. He returned to the hotel where for the next months he pretended to be upset that Angel was gone. He kept quiet while the others worried over what may have happened to him. When the others found Angel and Conner's secret they tied him up. Angel returned and threw Conner out into the streets. Conner with no home or friends wandered the streets while Wolfram and Hart watched interested. When Cordelia returned, Conner befriended her and worked with the crew again. Then when the city was in chaos, Conner and Cordelia slept together. Conner fell in love, not realizing that Cordelia had not meant for it to happen. Conner was hurt knowing that Angel and Cordelia were in love. Thus when Cordelia revealed that she was pregnant with his child, Conner became protective of Cordelia. He saw the crew attacking Cordelia and not knowing that she was evil, he rescued her and ran off with her. Cordelia persuaded him that the crew were trying to kill the baby out of jealousy and fear. She even persuaded him to kill an innocent girl just so their baby could live. However Conner was confused with what was right and wrong. The PTB sent down an image of Darla his mother to persuade him to see the real Cordelia. However Conner was too blinded and did what Cordelia wanted. The baby is born and Conner 'falls' under its spell. However it is soon revealed that Conner is immune to Jasmine's illusion but denied it in order to make his life better. Soon, Conner discovers that even this lie can't cover up his pain and he kills Jasmine. After that, he become suicidal, taking a crowd of people and Cordelia with him. Angel stops him. Conner is then wiped of his previous life and given a fresh life with a loving family not ever knowing of his past life and pain. Later, Conner and his family arrive at WFH, after Conner was hit by a van and miraculously survived. Conner does not recognize Angel, who turns them away. However, Angel reluctantly gets involved in Conner's life when the sorcerer Vail, who created Conner's new life, contacts him. Angel befriends Conner, who discovers about demons and vampires in the world. Vail wants Conner to kill Sahjan, fulfilling the prophecy. Angel hastily trains Conner, who then agrees to fight this Sahjan in order to protect his parents. During the fight, Wesley grabs Vail's Window of Orlon and smashes it, breaking Vail's spell of reality over any one near. Wesley and Illyria recover their real memories. After Conner defeats Sahjan, it seems that he was unaffected by the Window and still remembers nothing. He thanks Angel for his help but says that this life of fighting isn't for him or his family. He says good bye and leaves. Then, on the day before the final fight, Angel decides to spend his possible last moments with Conner. He visits him in a coffee shop where Conner reveals that he remembers everything, that he was affected by the Window and just pretended not to be. He understands why Angel did the spell and simply wants to leave it at that and get on with the life he has now. Angel helps Conner fill out job applications. Later, when Angel is fighting, and losing, against Hamilton, Conner appears and helps Angel defeat Hamilton.

Lorne aka the Host aka Kevlorne Sawr of the Deathwar Clan (Unknown)

A demon with the power to read people's aura's but only when they sang, he opened up a sanctuary club called Keritos in LA for demons, vampires and humans to have fun. With a karaoke bar, demons and humans alike got up on stage and sang for fun or for Lorne to read their aura and help solve their problems. He originally came from the dimension Pylea where there was no music or culture which he hated. One day he found a portal and landed in LA where he loved the music and dance. A demon he had the power to read people's aura when they sang. He helped Angel occasionally with guiding them on the right path or with information. His club was destroyed several times by bombs, Gunn's former crew and fights. He reluctantly helped Angel find Cordelia who had been taken to Lorne's dimension. There he returned home to find that he was despised by his family and friends. While there he was captured by the coven who decapitated him. Fortunately his kind could still live without a body until their body is mutilated. He was saved, his body transported back home where his mother placed his body on the lice pile. Back in one piece he said goodbye to his family and returned to his true home. His club destroyed once again he gave up and decided to move into the Hyperion. After a while he left to Hollywood where he became a star and had little time to help Angel and anybody at all. However he soon became a prisoner there. The manager forced Lorne to read the audience's future and pick out the successful ones, using magic to steal their futures. He was rescued and returned with the crew. When Cordelia came back, Lorne read her but was horrified at the great evil that he saw. Wolfram and Hart attacked, stealing Lorne's information of Cordelia's reading. After that he found that he had lost his power to read. After a long time, he came across a ritual to revive his powers. Scared that Lorne would read her, Cordelia attempted to kill him. However she discovered it was a hoax to catch her in the act. Lorne is cured of Jasmine's spell. After defeating her, Lorne joins the Angel team in moving into WFH, where he happily takes over the entertainment division. However the stress of it all is soon too much more him. He has WFH remove his sleep so he can get more work done. Then, on the Halloween WFH party, Lorne is overworked, stressing over everything and struggling with keeping up his happy face. Without sleep, his empathy powers become whacked. Instead of reading people's futures, he's now writing them and anything he says, becomes so. The gang soon figure it out, just in time for Lorne's subconscious to manifest itself as a Hulk-like Lorne. They get Lorne's sleep back and Lorne finally gets to rest for a while. When Fred dies, Lorne is devastated and sinks into depression. Although, he doesn't feel happier, he continues to go to work at WFH with a happy face and song. This eventually takes it toll, along with Angel's supposed corruption, and Lorne starts to feel tired of everything. He agrees to fight with Angel in this final fight, just for old time's sake but after wards he tells Angel that he's going to leave and he won't meet the gang up in the alley. He accompanies Lindsey to kill the Sahrvins. Afterwards, he kills Lindsey with a gun. He drops the gun and walks out of the room.

Spike aka William the Bloody (LA)

As a human he was called William the Bloody because of his bloody awful poems. He was a horrible lovesick poet who followed a girl Cecile around writing poems about her. He was teased and tormented by his peers. At a party some of his 'friends' grabbed his poems and read them out loud and locked them. Cecile who heard them ran off to sit down. When William came to her and professed his love she was horrified and said he was beneath her. Humiliated William ran out on the street where he bumped into Angelus, Darla and Drusilla  then ran off. Angelus had suggested to Drusilla that she find her own playmate. Drusilla went off and found William moping and turned him into a vampire. The two became lovers and he changed from being a sad poet to a vicious vampire. Changing his name to Spike he traveled the world with his 'family' and has killed two Slayers, one in China and another in New York. When Spike and Drusilla escaped from Prague where she had been seriously injured, they went to Sunnydale to find a cure. Spike tried to kill Buffy but failed. When he cured Drusilla he was injured and put in a wheel chair. Then Angel became Angelus again and Spike was jealous as Drusilla was flirting with Angelus. He teamed up with the Buffy and helped her stop Angelus. In the fight he knocked Drusilla down and carried her into the car and out of Sunnydale. However once Drusilla woke up she was furious and accused him of teaming with Buffy. She started flirting with other demons and left him. Spike returned and kidnapped Willow to perform a love spell on Drusilla but he finally decided that the only way to get her back was to be the man that she loved and left. He returned again to search for the Ring of Amara and became Harmony's boyfriend. When he found it he left her and tried to kill Buffy who grabbed the ring off him and sent it to Angel. Spike followed the ring to Angel and tortured him to get it back. He finally gave up on the ring and ran off again. He returned to Sunnydale but was instantly captured by the Initiative who planted a chip in his head that prevented him from harming humans. Getting blood from butchers he tried to stake himself but found that he could kill demons. He teamed up with the Scooby gang fighting demons for kicks. He also got back together with Harmony. To his horror he unexpectedly fell in love with Buffy who rejected him saying he was beneath her. He made Warren create a Buffy-bot which would be a programmed girlfriend. Harmony left Sunnydale and even Drusilla who came back to try to save him couldn't. He tried to impress the Slayer and even protected her sister and friends. When she died he was grieving and looked after Dawn. After she was resurrected Buffy and Spike became friends as she confided in him about her being in heaven. They soon became lovers but she broke it off when she realised she was using him. Spike tried to force himself on her and tried to rape her then left abruptly. He left Sunnydale without telling anyone and traveled to Africa where he fought against a variety of demons to show his worth. In return the demon would grant his wish. To be given his soul back... When he returned to Sunnydale he hid in the basement, taunted by ghosts and hallucinations of the First. He was insane. Buffy eventually rescued him, keeping him hostage since he was linked to the First. However, he was captured by the Bringers who used his blood to bring forth the first Ubervamp. Then the First temped Spike to take their side but he refused because Buffy believed in him. he was rescued again by Buffy from the First and stayed there helping to train the girls. However it was soon discovered that the First had a power over Spike, using a trigger that somehow sets off the vampire monster within him. His chip was no longer functioning and he was killing people without being conscious of it. His trigger was not activated for some time until the gang decided to take action to deactivate it. Entering back into his own subconscious, Spike retraced the trigger to a song that his mother sang to him when he was human. Reentering his past, he was able to sort out the trigger's power over him realizing that his mother loved him. He was almost killed by Robin Wood who was seeking vengeance for his mother, a Slayer in New York whom Spike had slain.  Spike continues to help Buffy and then departs on a trip to investigate Caleb's past. After returning, Spike is furious to discover that the gang have usurped Buffy and stomps out to find Buffy. When he finds her, he delivers a speech that gives Buffy the courage to fight Caleb. They spend the night together just sleeping in each other's arms. Concerned for Buffy, Spike goes to check on her and finds her kissing Angel. He becomes jealous but is even more surprised when Buffy trustingly hands him an amulet made for a champion. He fights alongside of her in the hellmouth when the amulet begins to work. Beams of sunlight burst from the amulet destroying the ubervampires. Spike stays there with the amulet as it dusts the vampires and inevitably kills him in the end. Just before leaving Buffy tells him that she loves him and he tells her to leave before the hellmouth collapses. However, this was not the end for Spike when he mysteriously appeared in LA's Wolfram and Hart when Angel opened a letter containing the amulet that Spike had worn. He was alive again. However, he was now a ghost-like being. Non-corporeal, yet more than a ghost, Spike was trapped to haunt the LA branch while Fred tried to find a way to re-corporealize him again. Spike eventually learnt to adapt to his new self, learning to corporealize sometimes temporarily. However, one day Spike received a mail. When he opened it, a white light flashed. And he was corporeal again. Rejoiced, he learnt that a guy named "Doyle", in fact Lindsey pretending to be Doyle, had sent that mail. "Doyle" convinced Spike that the PTB wanted him to be their champion. "Doyle" gave Spike his own apartment. However, the gang and Spike soon figured out who "Doyle" really was. After that, Spike and Angel grudging worked together, both determined that they would be the champion mentioned in the Shanshu prophecies. When Fred died and Illyria was resurrected, Spike made a choice to stay and help in LA, rather than running off to find Buffy. As Illyria joined the gang, Spike became her sparring partner to test her powers. He eventually befriended her. Later, Spike and Angel found out that Buffy was being followed by The Immortal, a great evil that they had fought in the past. Both still in love with Buffy, Spike and Angel traveled all the way to Rome, only to find out that Buffy and The Immortal were lovers. They were upset and returned to LA. In the fight against the Circle, Spike slew the entire Fell Brethen before meeting with the remaining gang to fight in a final battle against the Senior Partners. The last we saw of Spike, he was running into the battle.

Harmony Kendall (Whereabouts Unknown)

Best friends with Cordelia is Sunnydale high school, Harmony was part of the cool crowd. Teasing the Scooby gang and other losers at school with cruelty she copied Cordelia to seem cool. However when Cordelia started dating 'loser' Xander she quickly dumped her best friend and became the most popular girl in school. She walked around with her new crowd dissing her former best friend who still wanted to be friends. However Cordelia soon got fed up with Harmony and called her a sheep for following everything everyone does so she can be cool. Shocked Harmony was speechless as Cordelia walked off. When Cordelia was dumped by Xander, Harmony made it especially cruel by suggesting she date Jonathon. Then she finally accepted Cordelia back into the cool crowd. During graduation she was one of many who fought against the vampires. Without a chance to fight she was quickly bitten by one and later turned into a vampire herself. As a vampire her first boyfriend was Spike who was looking for the Gem of Amara. Even as a she was still incredibly shallow and air headed which finally tried Spike's patience. Putting on a pretty ring just as Spike staked her, she couldn't die because of the ring's protection. Angry she took of the ring and broke off their relationship. Harmony and Spike's relationship went on and off several times when he had no more use for her. Once she even gathered her own band of vampire minions to kill Buffy but they soon turned on her. She left to LA getting back in tough with Cordelia who didn't know she was a vampire. Catching up on each other's life she was invited to stay at Cordelia's house. Later she found out that Harmony was a vampire but the two still spent the rest of the night painting each other's toe nails. Harmony joined Angel Investigations momentarily but even they got tired of her bimbo ways when she wrapped her chewing gum in a ancient priceless book's page and spilled coffee on their computer. Helping out in the team she agreed to go undercover at a new area of gathering vampires. She came back reporting what she had found but when they got back in she had betrayed them. Telling them that she belonged with the vampires she fought against Cordelia who finally threatened her with a crossbow. Scared now she asked if they could still be friends. Cordelia told her no and to get out of her city now. 3 yrs later, the gang discover that Harmony has been working at Wolfram and Hart. She's currently Angel's assistant and secretary.

Illyria (Whereabouts Unknown)

An Old One, Illyria was one of many pure demons which ruled over the Earth before the domination of men. Illyria was a great monarch and warrior of the demon age, feared and beloved by her minions with acolytes still existing today. She was murdered by rivals, but unlike humans the Old Ones don't die the same way. Illyria's essence was kept in a sarcophagus in the Deeper Well, a burial ground for the Old Ones, guarded by its keeper, Drogyn. Unknowing to Angel and gang, Knox was secretly an acolyte that worshipped Illyria as a God. Orchestrating Illyria's resurrection, as it was predestined, Knox chose Fred to be the "shell" in which Illyria would be reborn. The sarcophagus mysteriously disappeared from the Deeper Well, England and was transported to LA's Wolfram and Hart. It got stuck in customs, but was freed after Gunn unknowingly signed a secret deal with the WFH doctor, which allowed the sarcophagus to slip through customs and into Fred's lab. Fred was intrigued by the sarcophagus and when she touched one of the crystals embedded on it, the sarcophagus opened and released dust, which Fred inhaled. Unknown to her, she had breathed in Illyria's essence. Fred quickly fell ill, mystically, and could not be cured by any science. Within a few days, her organs would liquify leaving Fred a hollow shell for Illyria's resurrection. Angel and the gang tried desperately to find a way to cure Illyria, but in the end Fred died in Wesley's arms. As he held her body, her eyes change to a crystal blue. Her body starts convulsing, kicking Wesley across the room. When Wesley gets up, Fred is gone and replaced by Illyria possessing Fred's body, which has now become blue in her hair, eyes and edges of her face. Illyria looks at her new body and is amazed by the changes that have occured since her death, particularly the domination of humans over the Earth. Wesley attacks her with a axe and even tries to convince Illyria that this is no longer her time; that she should leave. However, Illyria throws Wesley away and becomes determined to regain her throne by ridding the Earth of humans. Later, the gang are recovering from news of Fred's death and have Knox bound and gagged. They are discussing what to do when Illyria bursts in WFH and grabs Knox. She easily overpowers the entire gang and takes Knox with her to the sarcophagus. Once there, Knox reveals that he is Illyria's Qwa'ha Xhan, her priest and guide in this new world. Illyria touches the sarcophagus' crystal and a substance spreads over her body into some sort of body suit. She is intent on changing the world back into how she left it when she died. The gang appear and try to stop her again, but Illyria reveals another power; she manipulates time so the gang are frozen in time, while Illyria moves with Knox out of there at normal time. When the effect is over, the gang are left standing wondering how Illyria disappeared so fast. Later, the gang discover that Fred's soul was destroyed in Illyria's resurrection and of Gunn's involvement. They also find out that Illyria is going to Vahla ha'nesh; her temple where she should have been resurrected. In her native form, Illyria is a huge four-armed demon with snake-like creatures coiled around the chest and dozens of snake tails at her feet. In her temple is her army of doom, entombed and waiting for her return. The temple is in LA, but out of time with the normal timestream and can only be accessed by Illyria opening a gateway. Meanwhile, Illyria and Knox are at where her temple should be. Illyria tries to open the gateway but it is blocked. Knox uses a spell with bones to unblock the gateway. Spike, Wesley and Angel arrive just in time. Wesley shoots Knox in the chest, killing him. A fight ensues and Illyria uses her time-shifting power again. Except this time, Angel is unaffected, holding a crystal from Illyria's sarcophagus. Illyria is surprised but quickly recovers. She subdues them and opens the gateway, going through it. Wesley jumps in after her right before it closes. Illyria dismisses Wesley's efforts and walks up to her temple. However, when she gets there, she's crushed. Her entire army and temple are death, left in ruins and long gone. Illyria falls to her knees as she realizes that her whole world is gone and that she's alone. Wesley appears next to her and raises his gun, just as Illyria turns to him completely defenseless. Suddenly, there's a sound behind him. Wesley turns to see that the gateway is open again. When he turns back to Illyria, she is gone. He walks back through the gateway. Later, the group are discussing what to do about Illyria. Wesley goes to Fred's lab and starts packing her things when Illyria appears and notices Wesley grieving. Wesley is angry. Illyria reveals that she has Fred's memories and that she knows that she doesn't belong her anymore; her time and world is long dead as should she be. However, she can't change that and can't bring Fred back either. Illyria asks for Wesley's help to guide and teach her to live in this new world. He agrees. As Illyria adapts to her new body and world, Wesley grieves over Fred's death. Angel is worried about Illyria's loyalty and unpredictable personality. However, Illyria becomes attached to Wesley and rescues Gunn from the hell dimension. She also starts having sparring practices with Spike so the gang can test her powers and strength. However, Illyria power to too strong to be contained in Fred's body. Unknowing to the gang, she's overloading. She experiences stomach pains and finds herself thrown throughout time in a continuous time loop because of her powers. The gang discover what is wrong and decide to use a neutralizing gun to reduce Illyria's powers. Illyria is furious and kills them all. However, she is thrown back into time again. Angel gets caught up in the time loop and discovers what is happening. When she's about to kill them for the second time, Angel manages to stop her. As she falls into more pain, her body starts to crack and blue energy glows through. Wesley uses the gun in time to neutralize Illyria, who is furious and disgusted that she is now diminished and weak. Wesley reveals that Illyria can no longer alter time or travel dimensions. Although she still has superstrength, it is lessened. Illyria is recovering in her diminished state, when the gang get a surprise visit from the Burkles; Fred's parents. Wesley struggles to break the news of Fred's death to them, when Fred walks into the room. However, it is soon clear to Wesley that it is Illyria posing as Fred. The Burkles are fooled but Wesley is obviously jarred at "Fred" being alive. When the Burkles leave, Illyria explains that she can modify her form into whatever she wants. Wesley is angry and warns Illyria never to look like Fred again. Illyria seems hurt that Wesley rejected her as "Fred". Later, Illyria is hurt that Wesley has been ignoring her ever since she assumed Fred's appearance. When she and Spike go out to patrol, they discover Drogyn, who was once Illyria's "jailer". Illyria stays with Drogyn in Spike's place. When Hamilton breaks in to take Drogyn, Illyria fights with him but in subdued and left bleeding and unconscious on the floor. The gang return to find Illyria alive but hurt. While the rest of the gang spend their day (possibly last ever) before their final fight against WFH, Wesley chooses to stay with Illyria. While Wesley bandages Illyria up, he reveals that he wants to spend his last day with Fred but that's impossible. Illyria offers to become Fred again, but Wesley knows that it would be a lie. When the gang take off to do their separate attacks, Illyria goes to kill Izzy the Devil and the other Black Thorn members. She easily kills them and then goes off to find Wesley. However when she arrives, it is too late. Wesley has been fatally stabbed by Vail. As Illyria holds Wesley dying in her arms, she asks if he would like her to lie to him now. Wesley says yes and Illyria transforms into Fred. Wesley spends his last moments with "Fred" before he dies. Meanwhile Vail has recovered. "Fred" is grieving and faces Vail, who doesn't know she is Illyria. He laughs at "Fred" and tells her to take her best shot. "Fred" throws a punch at Vail, transforming back into Illyria at the same time and smashes her fist into Vail's head. Later, Illyria arrives at the alleyway behind the Hyperion to meet the others. She tells them that Wesley is dead and that she's feeling grief that she can't seem to control. As they face the WFH army of demons, she stands next to the gang ready to fight.
