Materials:

White felt or Warm & Natural
Scraps of fabric
Black, orange & white acrylic paint
Twine or ribbon
Blush
Small greenery
White pom pom or cotton ball
Needle & thread
Toothpick
Polyfil
Glue gun & stix

Directions:

Cut a circle from felt/warm & natural,
I used a saucer for a template.
Sew a running stitch around the edge of the felt.
Pull threads to tighten but don't close.
Stuff with polyfil, pull threads tight & tie off.
Measure fabric to fit around the head with a 1" overlap.
Cut to fit head making it approx. 4" tall.
Glue to head & glue closed in the back, folding in raw edges.
Glue seam closed.
Tie top of hat closed with twine/ribbon.
Cut a piece of fabric approx. 4" wide
& long enough to go around head with 1" overlap.
Fold in thirds & glue around base of hat for band.
Tuck in small greenery if desired.
Glue pom pom/cotton ball to top of hat.
Use black paint & end of paint brush to dot on eyes & mouth.
When dry dot white in each eye.
Blush cheeks.
Paint toothpick orange.
When dry break off end & glue on for nose.
Tear a piece of fabric, tie in a bow
& glue to head under chin area.
Poke a small hole in top of hat,
poke twine/ribbon thru hole & tie in a knot for a hanger.
