Insert a bouquet of silk flowers in the hole
Poke some silk ivy on each side of the roll.

Cut a large circle of poster board.

Decorated TP Holder
Cut the open end of a square tissue box out.
Turn upside down & cover box with fabric or paper.
Glue 1" wide lace around the top edge (closed end).
Glue 2" wide lace to the bottom (open end) so that it
looks like the box is sitting on the lace.
Add ribbon, string pearls, silk flowers ect....
PADDED PHOTO/MESSAGE BOARD
Materials needed:
Heavy cardboard/styrofoam/thin plywood/bulletin board* (your choice)
Quilt batting
Fabric of your choice
Lace & thin ribbon to match your fabric
Glue gun & stix
E6000 glue & 2 soda can tabs
Heavy thread & large needle
Buttons, tiny silk flowers ect.....
Directions:
Cut the cardboard to desired size. I used 18" x 30" (approx)
Lay the board on your fabric & trace around it
adding 1" all around, cut fabric.
Glue the batting to the board just around the edges.
No need to glue the center.
Lay the fabric right side down on your work surface.
Place the padded board on the fabric.
Pull the fabric to the back gently & glue in the center.
Do this to all 4 sides.
Now pull taught & glue all around the edges.
Criss cross ribbon & attach it with glue to the back.
Use heavy thread & came up from the back
through all layers in the center of the crossed
ribbons
& go back down through all layers, tie off.
This gives the message/photo board a quilted look.
Tie bows with the same ribbon & glue them
to each corner & to the 2 center crossed
ribbons.
Glue lace around the front edge of the board.
Cut a piece of the same/contrasting material with pinking shears
& glue it to the back to hide all the ribbon ends & places that were tied.
Using E6000 glue a soda pop tab to each corner,
on the back to hang it by. Let dry overnight.
* If you use plywood use decorative thumbtacks
to "quilt" the message board.
Tack one every place that the ribbons cross.*
HAT BOX
I started with white posterboard.
I cut a piece approx. 12" tall &
as long as the piece of posterboard.
This is the main body of the box.
Glue the ends together, overlapping about 1".
I used clothespins at the top & bottom till it dried.
Now for the lid.
I cut a circle from posterboard 1/4" larger than the main body part.
*Set the main body part of the box on
the posterboard & trace around it.
Now make another circle around that one but 1/4" larger.*
I cut a strip of posterboard 2" wide
& long enough to go around the circle + 1" (for overlapping).
Fold over one long edge of the strip approx. 1/2".
Cut slits about 1/2" apart all the way around the FOLDED PART.
Bend all the little tabs the same direction.
Now start gluing the little tabs to the circle you cut earlier.
When you get to the end overlap the 1"
& glue, use a clothespin to hold it till it dries.
Don't worry if it looks messy,
you will cover it all up with fabric or wallpaper or something!
Do the exact same thing for the bottom.
Glue the bottom to the main body of the box tho.
Now decorate with fabric, wallpaper, wrapping paper ect....
When mine was all done I gathered wide lace to make a circle.
Glued it to the center of the lid.
Then I glued on small silk flowers,
string of pearls, small greenery & tied a bow with thin ribbon.
I cut about 6 lengths of
ribbon approx. 6" long.
Glued all the ends together (lotsa loops)
& then glued the bow to the glued ends.
I glued this to the base of the flowers.
