Materials:
Brick paver
White acrylic spray paint
White, black & orange acrylic paint
Black fun foam
Decorations of your choice
Glue gun & stix
Clear acrylic spray sealer (optional)
Wedge shaped make-up sponge & a brush
Directions:
Spray the paver well.
Let dry & repeat.
Using the sponge & white paint
go over the entire paver again.
Paint the top of the paver black.
Let dry & repeat.
Paint on desired facial features.
*NOTE* If you will be using the paver outdoors
spray with a clear acrylic sealer now.
Several coats will protect it from the weather.
Use a dinner plate to trace a circle
on the fun foam, cut out the circle.
Place the top of the paver down
in the center of the circle.
Trace around it.
Cut out the rectangle shape you traced.
This is the hat brim.
Pull the brim down over the top of the hat.
Glue a ribbon or fabric band to the hat (refer to pic).
Glue on decorations if desired.
I painted a snowflake on the hat
& went over it with irridescent paint when dry.
Mrs. Paver
Use the same directions for the Mr.
Do not paint the top black.
I used pink paint & gave her rosie cheeks.
I made a mop cap by tracing a dinner plate on fabric & adding 3".
Sew lace to the edge of the circle.
Using a needle & strong thread sew a
running stitch approx. 1" from the edge.
Place some polyfil around the circle
between the running stitch & the center.
Place the top of the paver in the center
of the fabric & pull the threads to gather.
Turn the paver right side up & arrange gathers evenly.
Tie a ribbon around the gathers &
tie in a bow in the center front.
You can glue some of the lace around
the bottom of the paver for a collar.
Start & end in the front.
Tie a bow with ribbon &
glue to the center of the collar.
