Angel Tree Topper

Materials:

Ceramic angel bust & hands
A thread cone or styrofoam cone approx. 6" tall
Wing of your choice
Gathered lace
Thin gold ribbon
Glue gun & stix
Stiff wire or pipe cleaner
Small scrap of white/flesh fabric

Directions:
Cover the cone with fabric.
Cut the wire to approx. 6"
Wrap the wire with fabric, 5-6 wraps will do.
Glue the hands on each end of the wire.
Cut lace & glue around one arm so that the
lace just covers the wrist area.
Cut another & glue it so that it overlaps the first piece.
Repeat for the other arm & set aside for now.
Start at the bottom of the cone & glue on pieces
of lace leaving enough to overlap in the back.
*** If using a styrofoam cone use pins with decorative
heads & pin on the lace for a different look!***
Continue layering to within 1" of the top of the cone.
Place the arms into the bust & push the bust over the end of the cone.
You will have to smash the top of whichever
cone you use to get the bust over it.
Cut a piece of lace & glue from center back
over the shoulder & to opposite center front.
Refer to pic for placement.
Repeat for other shoulder. (bodice made)
Add a bow to the front & back where the "bodice" meets.
Glue wing of choice to back of angel.
I gave my Angel a thin gold ribbon choker
& a headband too!
If you use a styrofoam cone you will need
to hollow out an opening in the bottom
so it will go on the tree.
