Materials:

1 cinnamon broom or any small broom.
I think a whisk broom would work too.
1" & 2" wide gathered lace in 2 complimentary colors.(LOTS)
1- 4" straw hat.
Hot glue & gun.
Ribbon, silk flowers ect.....

Directions:

Glue the 1" lace on top of the 2" lace matching the top edges.
Starting at the bottom of the broom spot
glue the lace all around ending in the back.
Move up a little & repeat making sure to overlap the lace.
Repeat till you reach the handle of the broom.
Now glue on ribbons or small silk flowers if desired.
Fold the straw hat in half & wrap it around the handle of the broom.
You may need to cut some of the handle
off so that the hat hides all of the handle.
Hold the hat tightly around the handle
& glue in the front & back.
Hold the hat tightly till the hot glue is dry.
Decorate the hat with tails & a bow @ the back & maybe a silk flower too.
I use a piece of lace for a hanger & just glue it on the back top of the hat
