Materials:

White felt
Scrap of fabric for a hat
Polyfil, paint, blush & a nose
Needle & thread, glue gun & stix.
Pinback or gold cord

Directions:

Cut a 5" circle from the felt.
With the needle & thread run a gathering
stitch close to the edge of the circle.
Pull the threads slightly,
stuff with polyfil,
pull the threads tight & tie off.
Head made.
Make a tube with the fabric.
Tie off one end tightly about 1" from the end
& then cut slits to where you tied it off for fringe.
Turn up the other end for a cuff.
Glue to the head.
Dot on black paint for eyes & mouth.
Glue on nose of your choice.
It can be a piece of painted toothpick,
a tiny orange pom pom,
or make your own from salt dough & paint orange!
Blush cheeks & glue on a pinback.

Pull hat to one side & glue in place.
For an ornament use the needle & gold
cord & attach a hanging loop to the hat.
