~ Twilight ~
In the twilight of our lives,
As leaves have turned to gold;
Years have passed and time gone by,
Yet my love has not grown cold.
I look back on the springtime,
When love flamed bright and true;
And know that I am fully blessed,
That I spent this life with you.
My love for you is richer,
Now aged as the finest wine;
The taste is so much sweeter,
With the passing of the time.
Our steps have grown much slower,
Now silver streaks our hair;
Yet I find comfort in the twilight,
When I reach to find you there.
So in the twilight of our lives,
Our love still bright and true;
I am blessed in knowing,
That I spent this life with you.

James and I attended same high school. Our courtship days began in the typing class year 1951-1952.
James graduated from high school May 1951 and went to Akron, Ohio. After a few months there he returned home and asked my Dad for my hand in marriage. In November 1952 we were officially engaged and married December 21, 1952 in the Coleman Assembly of God Church.

Uncle Sam called James into the Army October 1952. After basic training he was sent to Fort Sheridan, Illinois, where he completed his tour of service. He was discharged November 1955.
We moved to Mobile, Alabama December 1955 and our first son, James Randall, was born January 28, 1956. Our second son, Dwayne Lynn, came along 3 years later, on February 6, 1959.
We were blessed to have two fine boys. Our first grandchild was born October 1979 and February 1980, he came to live with us. A terrible tragedy dealt a deep blow to our family September 18, 1992 when our oldest son, Randy, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident.
He left five precious children, ages 2-10 years, which the courts awarded us custody. One is grown and the other four are still in high school.
Even with all the heartaches God has truly been good to us. We have been blessed to meet so many people through the Internet and been more blessed to have met so many of our chat friends in person.
I want to say Thanks to Allison for building this page for us. She has done a beautiful job. James and I say THANKS from the bottom of our hearts Allison. We love you!
See what we did in 50 years! Four Generations!
