AFFIRMATIONS AND DENIALS

     When in oneness with God, remember that "It is the Father's pleasure to give us the Kingdom."  Learn to use affirmations to reinforce the goodness (positive) and deny all else (negative.)

      An affirmation is a solemn declaration that a particular thing is true.  We use affirmations through repetition of this declaration in order to implant a new idea of truth in our minds.

      Remember the power of thought.  We give the following examples of incorrect use of affirmations in order that you may guard against the destructive use of them.  In our lesson on soul, spirit and body, you will learn that the spirit which is the life force of your body, has no power of its own to reason.  You can now understand what is happening under the following circumstances.

      1.    A member of the family is having difficulty hearing.  Another member of the unit is inclined to be both impatient and extremely intolerant. When addressing the first person and not receiving a response, this member declares, "It is like talking to a wall.  You never hear.  You are   becoming deaf as a post."  The sound of this goes forth and becomes established in the ethers and in the spirit.  This person will most probably    experience hearing problems.

      2.   John is very distracted by his business difficulties and as a result does not give his  full attention to what he is doing at home at  certain moments.  He, on occasion, bumps into something, or drops something else.  Mary, his wife, becomes impatient with him and declares, "You are becoming as blind as a bat."  What has Mary done to her beloved husband?"

      Use your power through affirmations to only affirm good and deny the conditions that are undesirable in your life and in error.

      To deny is to refuse to grant power to error conditions or negative ones.  We do not deny the condition of physical manifestation as such.  We deny the cause of the inharmony.  By doing so, with the help of God, many healings take place.  We have denied the power of the inharmony.  By doing so, with the help of God, many healings take place.  We have denied the power of the inharmony and it has eventually disappeared. 

      We know that this is a new way of thinking to most of you.  You will find that by erasing your old thoughts and replacing them with these new ones, many changes will take place.  Your bodies will come back into harmony with your Godself, the source of all good.  Patiently retrain your mind and thinking.  Above all, do not put labels on inharmonies in the body.  If you say, "I have a cold," this is what the body will act out.  Simply state that your body is expressing an inharmony which is in the process of being healed and the process has begun.  Reinforce in thought, I AM healed.  Since we live in a real world and are involved with less knowledgable people, we have closed the door to dispute and discussion.  Ideally the idea that you ARE healed is excellent but can be dealt with in this manner only with people of like mind.

      The Bible quotes Jesus as saying, "If any man would follow me, let him deny himself (the earthly mind,) take up his cross (accept God's ways,) and follow me (walk in the same manner.)"

      This does not mean deny the earthly pleasures you have known in order to please God.  It merely means, clean out your house (mind.)  Get rid of the negative and destructive ideas and replace them with positive and constructive ones.  This is no great sacrifice.  Do not make your cross a heavy cross to bear by denying yourself of all pleasure.  Just deny the errors in your thinking.  This will become a habit and then a beautiful way of life.  You have the right to be happy, peaceful and live in oneness with God.

      Denials tear down the structure of superstition and the fear enjoined with it, thoughts of heredity and other false ideas that can be overcome.  A strong denial should always be followed by a strong affirmation of truth.  Never leave your house empty so that the negativity you have just deposed can reenter with a number of his friends.  Fill the space.

      For example, when you say, "I AM not ill," always follow it with, "because I AM one with God, the source of all that is good and pure."

      When you claim emphatically that you will not do something without a positive affirmation following your statement, you can pretty well count on doing the exact thing you have stated you will not do.  In keeping with the law of polarity, always add, "By the Grace of God," or "If it is God's will."  Cleanse and reeducate your mind.

      Hopefully, none of you will even have the need for denials.  You have learned to walk in the newness of life and will only use the positive affirmations of good, beauty and the purity of spirit.

      We learn through repetition.  Use the affirmations you have learned to impress your sub-conscious and conscious minds completely.  Saturate them with positive thoughts repeatedly.  In this manner, truth will become a way of life.  Accept no limitations.  Affirm it is the Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.  Know that He will supply you with all that you need or require.

      Recognize yourself as a Spiritual Being!

      Neither affirmation nor denials have any power in themselves.  They are simply a means to an end.  You must realize the truth of the statement to give it power.  You will see no change if you do not believe in the truth - no matter how frequently you repeat a statement that has no inner meaning.  Don't waste your time!

      We would like to quote from a poem we wrote some time ago called AMAZING AMENS.

      "Mouths murmuring memorized meaningless muses

       Have no power like burned-out fuses."

      Judge not by outer appearances.  The man is not deaf or blind.  His body is merely expressing an inharmony within.  Always remember that God puts no limitations on us and everyone can be healed.  Do not condemn someone with the thought that they can never get well.  God is within all of us and He only sees us as whole and pure beings.

      Write a prayer that suits your life that you may repeat frequently.  You are a child of God!

AFFIRMATIONS:

      I AM an expression of infinite love.

      The peace and harmony of God surrounds me and fills me.

      The Father and I are ONE.

      I AM Divinely guided in all my ways.

      God is love, wisdom and truth.

      The God within me recognizes the God in you.

      I Am a light being.

      I radiate the light from my light center throughout my being.

      I radiate the light from my light center to everyone.

      I radiate the light from my light center to everything.

      I AM in a bubble of light, and only light can come to me and only light can be here.                 

      Thank you God for everyone, everything and for me.

      I AM responsible for what I see.

      I choose the feelings I experience.

      I decide upon the goal I would achieve.

      Everything that seems to happen to me I ask for, and

            receive as I have asked.

      I take responsibility to learn from all that comes

            into my life.

      Spirit Divine, let all Thy good and truth come into my

            life today.
