Kim & Ginger
These are photo's of Kim (my daughter) and Ginger (her mare) at the State Competition of the MIHA (Michigan Interscholastic Horse Assoc.) October 2000. Kim is 15 in this photo and Ginger is only 6! Although they did not place in the Hunt Seat Equitation class, they placed 1st in Saddle Seat Equitation, with a total of 44 entries in the class. (see photo left)
Kim and Ginger have a bond that is rarely seen between horse and rider. Kim shows Ginger Hunt-Seat, SaddleSeat, Western, Over Fences, Bareback, and is currently learning Reining and Speed. This is a good example of a totally versatile horse. Kim and Ginger took several firsts at our 2002 Mecosta County 4-H Fair, including Saddleseat Equitation, Saddleseat Pleasure, and Pole Bending for 1sts! NEWS Flash!!! At the State MIHA show at Detroit Fairgrounds, October 34-27, 2002 Kim & Ginger placed 11th out of 50+ in Saddleseat Pattern We are very proud of them. Kim has graduated in 2003 so Ginger will be shown MIHA by Cindy Gould in 2004, as Kim is off to college at Western Michigan University. She is in the Honors College and is a member of their Forensics team. Kim made the Dean's List at WMU! Kim is majoring in Broadcasting & Cable Productions with a minor in Japanese. I am very PROUD of her. My foster son Patrick Marshall has joined the Army Reserves. He is also a member of ROTC & will be joining Kim at WMU for the Winter term. I am a very lucky woman to have 2 such wonderful, talented, intelligent kids! I know both my kids will do well in their future endeavors!
