Vanilla Ice Cream

4 eggs beaten
2.25 c sugar
5 c milk (whole)
4 c cream (heavy)
2 tsp vanilla
.5 tsp salt

Add sugar gradually to beaten eggs.
Continue to beat 'til mixture is very stiff.
Add remaining ingred. and mix thoroughly.
Pour into gallon freezer and freeze as directed.
