| Here I am working on removing the entire fleece on one side. I've removed the belly wool and the leg wool, and you can see the fleece falling away in one large piece. I'm using the shears in long strokes from the dock (tail remnant) to the neck. The reason the fleece stays in one piece is due to the crimp of the wool- "crimp" is the word that describes the wavy, kinked nature of the individual fibers. The kinks interlock to hold everything together. | ||||||
