Bones- The Quarterhorse
Bones was rescued from an animal auction in 1996 or so. When we got him, he had been severly maltreated and was nothing but skin and bones, thus his name. His hair had fallen out in clumps and he didn't look like much. After several months of good food and care, he fleshed out rather well. As I understand it, his father was a champion turning horse, (something to do with turning quick, tight corners in a showring), and Bones had originally been purchased for $3000. We picked him up at the auction for $300.

The unusual object behind him is an old bathtub flipped upside down. (Just so ya know)
