I bought the bike for $250 and haven't spent more than $800 to keep it running since then. That includes new exhaust and used generator plate---- Which has failed! So for right now I can drive as far as the battery will allow me to (not good). New plates cost ~$180, so when I have enough money to, I'll get the motorcycle on the road again - stay tuned for more details!
