Here's a good shot of the extensive damage to the front spoiler. The 535is came with the "M-spoiler" but I got this car without one (probably due to the accident it had been in). I got this spoiler at a junkyard from an earlier E28 whose owner, apparently, cared enough to invest in this option. Brand new, this item retails for around $500.00. I got the item, broken though it may have been, plus a bunch of electrical components for $20.00. The guy who was running the yard at the time couldn't believe I wanted a broken spoiler! Fortunately, he didn't know the value of the thing, so I got away with a REALLY good discount! I'll add more pics of the spoiler reconstruction once I have enough sandpaper and other necessities. |
