| I've stripped away all of the rust, and you can see how pervasive it was. The rust color in the front of the hood isn't rusty metal, rather it's a sory of rubber that has absorbed the rust color. I got rid of all the rust by grinding away all visible signs of it, then dousing the entire area in CLR. If you've ever used it before, then you know just how effective it is in removing EVERYTHING except the primary metal! (i.e.- it works GREAT!!!) ... well, it even removes part of the primary metal if you're not careful, so BE CAREFUL if you use it in your project! By the way, don't those spiffy Nitrile gloves make this look "oh so professional?" |
