Jan 15, 1999- I am back for a three-day weekend. (I helped dad wire some in his truck. The camper light shorted and the wires under the dash caught fire. It wasnt as bad as I thought though.) I wire brushed the frame and put the transmission parts away. I never pounded out the reverse gear. Ill just have to cook the transmission case with the reverse gear in it. The frame feels as if it is in good condition and will do nicely. The little bend in the back bumper pounded straight, easily; however, the bend in the front bumper remains stubborn. Dad and I are going to Lincoln Supply later today to look at sandblasters. I will need it. Then Ill be able to sandblast in the cracks of the frame. The frame reconditioning is going to take longer than I expected. Oh, well. Im also going to see if I can buy a new bumper at Lincoln Supply.
