| Have you ever wondered what your pride and joy was worth? Do you know that there is a service we can provide to not only establish the value of your "rolling investment", but to make sure that the insurance you get will cover the full value of your car?. Best of all , in most if not all cases, it will cost you far less than just Liability coverage that you are now carrying! Your car, especially if maintained or restored as an original, will be guaranteed for its full value in the event that you suffer an insurable loss. This would include , but is not limited to, theft, total loss, vandalism and other perils , at FULL VALUE, not just actual cash value, which is what you get with most insurance policies that are not geared to classic and vintage cars. Even if your car is not "vintage" ( such as our 1979 Convertible), you car get Full Agreed Value coverage at less than you are currently paying for liability insurance! As you may have found out, a minor damage claim may total out your car at actual cash value ..at far less than you car is worth! And you JUST restored your car spending thousands!!! Too late , you find out that a Cash Value company will want to give you , say, $3000.00, after you just spent $10,000....OR MORE!!! What is needed is a Certified Appraisal which will establish your car's correct value, along with photos to document the condition of your car.The correct type of company is needed to insure your valuable volkswagen. As both an Insurance Adjuster and Appraiser for over 17 years, ( AIS & AIC Designations) , I know and understand the value of Volkswagens, and have adjusted insurance losses involving all vehicles. And yes, I have been on the "other side" of handling claims for vintage cars, especially when the accident was not your fault! However, Volkswagens are our number one expertise. We have personally restored many Volkswagens, including a beautiful 1966 Westy. Our current pride and joy is a 1957 European Convertible with 32,000 original miles! For example, if your adjuster needs to speak to me about the condition of your car, or is not in agreement with an evaluation, ( especially after a loss), I stand ready to work with them and , in many cases , educate them on the value of your car.
