Yugi sighed and looked up. Tea sat next to him, watching the students on the dance floor. Serenity sat on yugi's other side and sighed sadly. Yugi looked at Serenity. Poor Serenity, both Joey and Kaiba have gone missing. I hope they're both ok. It's not like Joey to just go missing like this. Kaiba too, he'd never leave Serenity worried like this. Just as Yugi was about to stand up he saw someone rush into the gym. Serenity smiled and yelled out Kaiba's name when she saw the person was Kaiba. He walked over with a grim expression on his face. "Something's wrong, come with me." Kaiba said and started walking off. Serenity stared for a second and followed quickly. Tea looked at Yugi then followed after them. Yugi followed as well, trying to make his way through the large crowds of people without being pushed down. He followed as closely as he could until he reached their destination. Kaiba stood infront of an unused broom closet, looking around. He turned to the others. "I went to the bathroom and found him in there." Kaiba said, opening the door. Yugi peered into the closet, overcome with curiosity. There, laid neatly on the floor was Joey. He looked fine except for the pained look on his face and the bruise developing under his eye. Serenity gasped and hurried over to her older brother, putting him in a sitting position with some effort. Tea ran to her side and put her hand up to Joey's forehead. Yugi stared for a second then looked at Kaiba. "What happened Seto?" Yugi asked. Kaiba sighed. "I found him like this. I have no idea if he's just drunk or some one knocked him out." Kaiba said. Yugi nodded. Tea stood up and looked at them. "It looks like someone knocked him out and twisted his wrist." She said. Joey stirred a bit and opened his eyes slightly. "Where. am I?" He asked, trying to stand up. Serenity sighed in relief and helped him up. Joey looked at Tea, Yugi and Kaiba, and then at Serenity. "Whoa! Where am I?" Joey asked, looking around. "In a broom closet stupid, where do you think?" Kaiba said and then stopped at the look on Serenity's face. Yugi walked over to Joey. "What happened Joey?" he asked. Joey rubbed his forehead. "Well. I was walking around minding my own business. I walked to the bathroom because." Joey closed his eyes then opened them suddenly "Oh yeah! I heard a yell! And I went in. And Bakura was there. But he was all. Evil. And I asked him very politely if he was ok and he went haywire on me! And then there was a bright light and that's all I remember." Joey said. Kaiba snorted. "He got drunk." Kaiba said and Serenity poked him sharply. Yugi blinked. "Bakura?" At another part of the school, Yami Bakura stood, watching the students dance. Disgusting, mortals and their strange gestures. You'd swear they were actually trying to make themselves look like idiots. Oh well, these people mean nothing to me. They are just small obstacles. Yami Bakura walked into the crowd, easily making his way to the middle. He looked down at the ring resting on his chest. It did nothing. The boy with the puzzle must not be here. It would be easy to get the puzzle. The only thing he had to look out for was that damned pharaoh. Yami Bakura grit his teeth. If it weren't for him, he wouldn't be stuck in the Millenium Ring. He would've lived and died like everyone he knew. He also wouldn't be stuck with this boy. He found it harder and harder to take control. Sometimes it even took him hours. This was unacceptable. What he needed was a soulless body that wouldn't fight back. Then he could get revenge. Several of the students dancing gave him dirty looks for getting in their way. He glared back at them, almost daring anyone to try and stop him. Even though he had the boy's body, his glare still had the same affect as it always had. People turned away and ignored him. The thought made Yami Bakura smirk. The music changed and the students began to dance slower. Yami Bakura rolled his eyes and walked out of the crowd and into the hall. Fewer people at least. Suddenly he felt a slight energy. So his light was awakening. Let him. He can't do anything. Bakura opened his eyes slowly and looked up. He saw a white ceiling. He sat up, looking around. The room was plain with white walls and a grayish colored rug. A simple bed was in the corner and a small lamp next to it. Bakura sighed. He was in his soul room. Bakura stood up and rubbed his eyes. He felt so tired from trying to fight off his yami. But he won. Again. What else was new? He probably spent more time here then anywhere else. And the others never found out it wasn't him until it was too late and some one was hurt. Because of him. Because of his weakness. Bakura looked at the door to his soul room. He knew his yami probably put up defences to keep him in. But what did his yami want this time? The puzzle? Probably. Bakura walked over to the door and tried to open it. The door didn't budge in the least. He put all the power he had left into trying to open it. But nothing. Bakura sighed and sat down. What could he do? He was powerless. Suddenly the sound of his yami's cold laughter filled the room. Yami Bakura walked into the soul room, a smirk on his lips. Bakura shivered and stood up. "Well well, you woke up. Darn, and all this time I thought you finally were killed." ~DMC~ |
