| Chapter 1
Bakura looked at himself in the mirror. Tonight was the school dance and Yugi and the others begged him to go. He had planned to spend the night finishing up a project then maybe reading or watching TV, the normal night for him, but Tea had said how he was so anti-social and a little party wouldn't kill him. That's what she thought. Bakura hated parties; he hated girls asking him to dance over and over. He hated his "fan club" following him around. He tried to tell the others this but Joey and Tristin just laughed. Bakura looked out the window and saw a car pull up. Joey, after at least a million tries, finally got his drivers license and he drove them everywhere just because he could. Joey sat at the wheel wearing a loose black shirt and jeans. Tristin sat next to him in a grey shirt and jacket and black pants. Yugi sat talking to Tea in the back wearing jeans and a deep red shirt. Tea wears a light blue dress with a darker blue line down it. Joey honks the horn and looks at Bakura's apartment.
"Hey! Bakura! Move it slug boy, I don't have all night!" Joey yells. Yugi sighs.
"Joey, your way too loud. I'm sure Bakura's coming." Yugi says. Tea smirks.
"I'm sure half of the city heard Joey's big mouth." Tea stated. Joey glares at her.
"Hey, I wouldn't call you the "quiet one" of the group either. bigmouth." Joey muttered. Tea sits up.
"What did you say?!" Tea yells. By now Tristin is cracking up and Yugi has developed a huge sweatdrop.
"Please don't fight guys!" Yugi says. Tea and Joey both glare at yugi.
"Be quiet Yugi!!" they both say. Yugi gives up and watches Tea and Joey exchange insults and glares. Bakura watches them from his room and can't help but laugh. He quickly grabs his black coat and is about to leave when he notices the Millennium Ring lying on his desk. Bakura looks at it and thinks. Should he bring it with him? Normally he brings it anywhere, but what if his Yami strikes during the party? But could he trust it alone. He has no idea what sort of trouble it could cause. Bakura grabs his Ring and runs down the stairs and out the door. By know Tea and Joey look like they could murder each other. Yugi and Tristin just watch, Yugi staring and Tristin laughing. Bakura waves and Yugi smiles.
"Bakura's here!" he says, relieved. Joey and Tea snap out of their death glares and greet Bakura.
"Finally! What were you doing up there?" Joey asks as Bakura slides into the car next to Yugi. Tristin grins.
"I bet he was brushing his *cough * girly *cough * hair" Tristin says. Joey laughs and Bakura sighs.
"My hair is not girly." He mutters. Tea coughs and Joey laughs even more. Yugi just shakes his head. Joey starts the engine and puts on the radio at full blast. Tea, Yugi and Bakura cover their ears while Joey and Tristin.. Ahem.. "sing" to the song. When they reach the school its full of students already. The hall was covered in balloons and streamers. The music was blaring from inside the gym where groups of students were dancing. Joey and Tristin got out of the car and looked at the school. Joey got an evil smirk on his face and smirked at Tristin. Tristin nods quickly and smiles. Tea eyes them both suspiciously as she, Yugi, and Bakura get out of the car. Bakura looks at the school and watches as Tristin goes to find Miho, Tea and Yugi walk off looking for friends, and Joey sneak off. Bakura sighs. This is going to be an interesting night.
The inside of the gym was full brightly colored posters, ads for clubs and sports. Now the gym seemed transformed. It was covered wall to wall with balloons, streamers and decorations. The dj plays the music so loud Bakura had to cover his ears before he came in. He looked around. The song playing now was slow and all the couples were on the floor dancing. Others were watching, hanging out in large groups by the door. Bakura sighs. Ever since he got the millennium ring he had always stayed away from people. He didn't want anyone getting hurt. Seeing these people together was just a painful reminder for him. Bakura turned and decided the best thing to do was to leave. Who would follow anyway? Yugi and Tea were busy socializing, Tristin was trying to muster up the courage to speak to Miho and Joey was off somewhere causing trouble. He would just leave; maybe tell the others tomorrow he began to feel sick. He started towards the door when he got a funny feeling, like he was going to faint. Bakura stumbled to the bathroom and looked into the mirror. He saw himself, staring back at him. He looked fine, but he sure didn't feel fine. Suddenly the lights began to flicker. Bakura jerked around to see if anyone was there. He scanned the bathroom but he found he was alone. Maybe all this was in his imagination.
Off on another part of the school, Joey was sneaking around near the power room. He knew this party was going to be so boring, why not spice it up a bit? He and Tristin already had a plan. Tristin would keep Yugi and Tea busy while Joey turned off the power. Joey snickers as he thought of his plan over. It would be great; he could hear the students screaming now. Joey keeps walking when he got to the boys bathroom. He keeps walking till he heard a scream inside of there. Joey stares at the door for a second then ran in. When he got in, no one was there. Joey searched the place, puzzled. Was he hearing things? He turned to go to the door when he saw Bakura standing in front of it. Joey was really confused by now but he tried not to show it.
"Oh, Bakura! I was just, er, taking a walk and I heard a scream. Are you ok?" Joey asked. Bakura kept his head down, staring at the floor. Joey stares at him, and then takes a step closer.
"Bakura?" Joey says, and reaches out to shake Bakura. When his hand touches Bakura's shoulder, Bakura grabs his wrist and twist it behind Joeys back. Joey yelps and looks at Bakura.
"Whoa! Sorry, I didn't mean to touch you! Let go of my wrist!" Joey yells, trying to get out of Bakura's hold. Bakura just begins to laugh.
"Joey, Joey, Joey. Why do you even try? You can't beat me." Bakura says smirking. Joey stares.
"Bakura. You're not Bakura. But..." Joey began to struggle more, realizing what was happening. Bakura just laughs and twist his wrist more.
"Have you figured it out yet? Your head is thicker then I thought." Bakura says. Joey's eyes widen and he begins to yell.
"YUGI! TEA! TRISTIN! BAKURA'S GONE NUTS AGAIN!!! HELP!!" Joey yells. Bakura glares and puts his hand on Joey's forehead.
"You should learn to keep your mouth shut. Good night." Bakura says. The room began to glow and by the time the light faded, Joey was lying on the floor motionless. Bakura began to snicker as he looked down at his Millennium Ring.
"Now it's your turn Yugi" He says and turns for the door.
