| The first song written by the band was 'Pyromaniacs', a very basic four chord repetitive drone!! This was followed up with a song 'Black Peril', the same tune as pyromaniacs but in reverse order!! It wasn't really until Rob started playing guitar that the songs started to become more varied and a style was formed. Lyrics were never a strong point with 'Yellow Plastascene' Until recently most of the song lyrics made no sense at all Most of the song lyrics written in the late 90s were written by, or in conjunction with mary. These include 'Ginger rage', 'I hate my dad', 'Yellow Plastascene' (original), 'High' and 'A bad start'. The main writer for the band now is Rob, although there are a lot of lyrics by Mary and Dom that either don't have tunes to go with them or are just songs that the band don't play |
