The news for the Skids at this point is not good. It seems the
rest of the band has deemed it necessary to find a new lead singer. We
had guessed that this was going to happen after they turned down a spot
to open for KISS on New Year's97/98. What are they thinking breaking up
a band like this?? Who knows. Wish they would come to their senses though.
Another great band bites the dust. Because without Baz they can call it
Skid Row but it won't quite be the same. Baz is doing lots of singing with
others, like Last Hard Men. Lots of others listed on his page . PLEASE

INTRODUCING

Sebastian Bach : Lead Vocals - The most energetic
presence I have ever witnessed on a stage. He has worked from day one to
improve his abilities and it shows. Hyper , fun and ever changing. One
thing stays the same there is only one Baz.

Rachel Bolan : Bass - He is very talented with
his playing and song writing abilities along with Dave "The Snake " Sabo
worked to found the band now known as "Skid Row"

Rob Affuso : Drums - Very charismatic and great
drummer.

Scotti Hill : Guitars - He seems alittle more
reserved than the rest of this band , almost like the calm before the storm.

Originated in New Jersey,Rach and Snake
spent a year writing and playing with various people. In '87 Sebastian
from Toronto , Canada joined after they sent him a tape. He heard "Youth
Gone Wild" and "knew it had been written for me to sing". In 1989 their
debut came out. Self Titled. Touring with Bon Jovi they hit the music scene
with power and determination. Several hits from this one "I Remember You"
, Eighteen and Life, and "Youth Gone Wild". Still very much under the giant
thumb of the music business they still made a helluva impact on people.
The home video released from this tour "Oh Say Can You Scream" is the best
and funniest rock video I have had the pleasure of owning. It is top rate
entertainment. You learn alot about the band and some of the things they
can get into. The best music video I think I own.

In 1991 out comes " Slave To The Grind" , the
guys have really had a chance to get to know the industry and not necessarily
agree with it. This tape reflects alot of the frustration , anger and perserverance
that is Skid Row. Much heavier than "Skid Row". I saw alot more of what
they really wanted to say in this one. They grew alot as musicians in that
two years. Well they ran into a drawback with this one as it has a song
on it called " Get the Fuck Out " , so they released two versions so that
all their fans had access to their music. The second one has "Beggar's
Day" instead. The corresponding video has the only 3D that I have ever
witnessed that works!!! It is an experience to watch! "Roadkill" , is a
much needed item for any fan and sure to gain some new fans that watch
it. Again they realized that not all fans can fork out 24 or so dollars
for a video and supply one aptly called "No Frills ", which is their basic
video releases for this tape with one extra that is not available elsewhere
at alot less cost.

In 1992 "B Side Ourselves was released
a collection of covers picked from each of the band members as dedications
to ones they enjoy. Outrageous it is terrific. Rachel does the vocals for
a song from the Ramones called "Psycho Therapy " and the video that goes
with it is great. Job well done. "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix is done
raw and perfect.

Their latest is "Subhuman Race" which shows
the capabilities of this band. They range from full alternative to heavy
rock all on one cd. They prove they can master any type of music they want
to and do it well. There is a certain defiance in it I think. Just to say
they can. They can be heard on the movie called "The Prophecy".

Skid Row has earned my loyalty along with
alot of other fans around the world. I hope they stay around for many years
to come. They still have alot to say to people . I am an avid collector
of anything pertaining to this band , email me if you have something of
interest or just want to ask questions , perhaps just want to chat. I have
had the pleasure of meeting Baz outside the concert on their last tour
and he was fantastic! Someone I will remember for a very long time.
