Nickname : Biscuit, , rumour due to his buns.

Height: 5ft 8in

Jimmy was an active participant in music from his school days. He started his rock performing days in his high school band , Oasis. Not rocking the walls with his exceptional vocals but pounding out chords on an electric guitar to the tune of Black Sabbath and Maiden . All this was done with hair above his ears by the way. We have absolutely no idea why they stuck him behind the guitar instead of the mike. jesse and crew

After Oasis Jesse apparently played in a band called Roulette for awhile before miraculous changes occurred, when the band reformed as Byte the Bullet, with Jesse out front where he belonged.

They came into their own playing cover tunes in Atlanta clubs six nights a week. Played at home in a hole in the wall club with no stage where they packed the house every weekend. On weekends they weren't playing the owner actually shut the club and when they moved to L.A. the club went out of business. (Alot of fans still would and will travel miles if they could just get their hands on a Southgang CD. )

Moving to California in Oct. of 88 to share with the world their music, they took odd jobs to support themselves ( Jesse worked at Haagen- Daas )and 8 months met their manager. They were signed by Charisma Records in Jan. of 90. After the signing they changed the band's name to Southgang cause the name Byte the Bullet was owned by another band.

Byte the Bullet appeared at first glimpse to be the typical glam band of the time until you heard them play and you were hooked. We have seen fans from every walk of life still as devoted as the first day they heard them. Not fantatical just very appreciative of a great sound!!!! Along the way we watched Jesse travel, enjoy life, and have his ups and downs on the road. He was the sexy frontman , with a voice to back up his place in the band. * We pause here to mourn the loss. *

They were signed as Southgang. We feel an apt name for the band. Alot of work went into both of the cd's that they made. Traveling all over the world. Opening for many other bands as well as headlining. But like many bands we think jealousy started to make it's play. Jesse being the perfect target. People being finicky, most men tend to feel threatened by someone more talented than themselves. (Mind you this is a possibly biased judgement) Metal Edge had other opinions on the subject and we are not willing to dredge up heresay on the matter. ) We are hoping to add more childhood info and pictures one day of Jesse.
