Broken Glass
I’m convinced the end of this life, Has just now begun.
I loved you for so long, More long than I can tell
But the frame has just fallen, And the glass has shattered well.
Walking on broken glass, With a heart of unsaid words
Please don’t be a part of the past, To me, you mean the world.
Just give me one more chance, To prove to you, you’ll see
That this true love of ours, Was really meant to be.
So before you walk out the door, I want you to change your mind
Just think of how I’d feel, If I was left behind.
Now think of how you’d feel, If you were left behind
If I were to do that, Then would you change your mind?
Like Romeo and Juliet, Soaring above the stars
If we stayed together like them, Then we could soar that far.
But we got to believe in it, That true love will never end
Because if you’d walk out that door, This heart of mine won’t mend.
I’ll give you time to think about it, But eventually, you’ll see
That I was meant for you, And you were meant for me.
Now hopefully I’ve convinced you, And you’re not a part of the past
As for the picture behind the broken frame, That surely will have last.
