Speculation of a baby boy for Takuya; big paycheck!
As his baby is expected to be delivered in May this year, everyone out there are beginning to guess the gender of his baby. But according to a Japanese website, it could be a baby boy for Takuya and Shizuka. Shizuka has always been interested in having fortunes read by oracles, and is on good terms with a fortune teller.
Recently, Shizuka has been choosing many male names for her fortune teller, to pick out an auspicious one for her baby. And in fact, even before "Takuya Junior" is born, he can expect a luxurious life with his super rich daddy. Takuya's recent TV drama "Hero", boosted a fantastic 30 points for super high viewership rating, and this increased his popularity and his future salary expectations. He had recently starred in a cell phone advertisment too, receiving close to $1.5 million! And so far, he still has 10 advertisment contracts at hand, based on a conservative calculation, he would still be able to receive another couple of $10 million!

As everyone who adores Takuya knows, Shizuka is expecting with Takuya's child and will be giving birth in the coming summer. And of course, with so much spectaculation, Takuya's popularity will still continue even after his child is born. While the media waits for Shizuka to deliver her "love gem" with Takuya, many advertisment contracts continue to knock at Takuya's door. It could be, perhaps, his main income source for year 2001 will be from advertisment contracts...
When his baby comes to this world, it may cause an uproar and frantic reporters trying to take pictures of his baby. But nevertheless, Takuya will move on to his next stage of his life (after being in the limelight since 16 years old) - this time to take care of his own offspring. Though SMAP may still move on and produce fantastic songs for their fans, but I believe that its only Takuya who has matured a lot compared to the other members of SMAP. Why? Its because he has a family now, and he has to shoulder lots more responsibility. Fret not, everyone, if Takuya chose to take this path to become a family man, he will still remember his fans!
Most probably, due to Shizuka's pregancy and other relevant issues, Takuya's the most popular male artiste again for year 2000. Imagine what will happen when his baby comes into this world? More and more advertisment contracts, and perhaps he can go into advertising for baby products. If he appeared in a lipstick commercial and it was so successful, why not?

TK to marry Shizuka in Hawaii?
A recent Japanese woman magazine reported that Takuya's wedding is scheduled on the next January, and it is going to be held in Hawaii.
This news is said to be credible, as it was from Shizuka's two good friends and as well as from another close friend of Takuya. According to the them, Takuya will not have any work schedule in the first 2 weeks of January. At that time, he will invite family and relatives from both sides to attend the wedding ceremony in Hawaii. And after the wedding, they will not find a new home, instead Takuya will move into Shizuka's home.
Both Shizuka's good friends even added that, even there is no wedding held, the couple won't mind too. It is because the Japanese media is paying a lot of attention on their wedding ceremony; and Takuya is still having the ceremony is due to his consideration of Shizuka and her family's feelings.
To Takuya, Shizuka stresses a lot on family values. Previously, when Shizuka's brother passed away, Shizuka refused to eat anything until she almost died. Hence, her parents are very worried of her, and the three of them (the whole family) are even closer after her brother's death.
Takuya thinks that Shizuka's parents will want to witness their daughter getting married too , plus considering Shizuka's present preganancy, he concluded that Hawaii is the best place still, to tie the knot.

According to many media sources, many fans are distraught by his plans to marry Shizuka, though there are, however, fans who wish him all the best for his marriage. A Japanese movie reporter, even wrote on his website, that Shizuka once told the media she will bear a baby before she turns 30 years old. And now that she realised her plan, the reporter said it is because she went to a doctor for help. The reporter even added, Shizuka convinced the doctor to keep her visit secret and to say it is her good friend, Noriko Sakai, who visited the doctor instead.
WILL SMAP BREAK UP? : Ever since Takuya broke the news to the public, many people began to wonder if SMAP will soon be splitting up due to Takuya's violation of his company Johnny's rules. His company forbids its artistes to get married. But, at the last concert at Tokyo Dome, Takuya swear that SMAP will not break up even he has tied the knot with Shizuka. Takuya stood on the stage alone when the concert barely started, and said that he did not expect the news to be out so fast. He was planning to tell it all when the last concert finished. And even after he settles down, he will continue to work hard for his fans. (Fans below the stage all shouted regards at him)
As a SMAP member, according to Takuya, the best thing about it is to ensure the group does not split. Takuya ensured the fans that night he'll have more concerts with SMAP. The fans below felt good about it. Prior to Takuya's speech at the last concert of the tour, as thought by public it would be the last concert of SMAP. Tickets for the concert inflated 30 times, to 150,000 Yen (S$2100).
In a survey, 84% of the Japanese woman population (20 to 50 years old), said they like Takuya. And they like Takuya's honest attitude towards the recent breaking news. Another 23% of it thinks that after Takuya, they like Hideaki Takizawa. And as for other 4 SMAP members, they think the earliest to get married after Takuya will be in this order : Goro Inagaki, Nakai Masahiro, Shingo Katori and lastly Tsuyoshi Kusanagi.

Latest news on Takuya : Takuya, on a press conference at Tokyo Super Arena, confirmed the news of Shizuka's 4 months pregnancy, and her baby is expected to be due in May 2001. "Sponichi", a Japanese sports newspaper, was the very first media to report Shizuka's news on 23rd November. It was said that Shizuka was having a body checkup at a hospital, and the hospital staff leaked out the news immediately. However, Takuya made it clear during the conference that his wedding plans are not settled yet.
Since last year's December, the media previously did not think that Takuya and Shizuka will end up marrying each other. But, both have lots of similar interests : Surfing, art, Italian food; hence their relationship is very successful. They went for a vacation during 14th April this year, and had made headlines on the various Japanese media.
In fact, Takuya already knew that she is pregnant, because Shizuka threw up in front of him before...(^_*). With this God's gift to Takuya, Takuya's reaction is anxiety and he's also happy. Though this is his first time on being okaasan (daddy), he looks forward to the baby's arrival.

Takuya films ad, dazzles 66 old ladies!
This time, another new ad featuring Takuya! And this time, 66 old ladies were invited to star in his new commercial for JCB credit card company. By the way, he has been the spokesman for JCB four years. It will be broadcasted in Japan on the 3rd of November this year!
This entirely new commercial is based at a gigantic health centre or gym. Takuya was wearing a T-shirt and a pair of shorts, and he was immediately surrounded by the old ladies. Other than trying to avoid the old ladies' curiosity-generated "hand movements" on Takuya, he has to explain about the JCB credit card. The JCB card is said to enable internet surfers to shop online in a free and easy way.
However, the old ladies didn't listen to him, shot further questions and argue among themselves in front of him : "Mister, you are so young and you love to come here?" "Men are like that!" "Why did you keep looking at her in the first place?" etc... And Takuya's patience was at its extreme then, he finally lectures the bunch of old ladies...
According to reliable sources, this commercial was completed on the 1st of October, spent 3 hours filming entirely inside a Tokyo filming studio. The 66 old ladies were chosen by an audition. During filming, the old ladies were feeling very nervous, but Takuya tried to calm them down saying "It is okay! Don't be nervous!".
Takuya is indeed a superstar! Not only the young, but the old are unable to stay undazzled by his charm! Cool~~~
Long Vacation is back (in S'pore)!
The long awaited Long Vacation series is coming to be broadcasted in S'pore, with the theme song mtv often shown on TV. Cool huh, esp there is also another suave guy Yutaka Takenouchi inside. And he looks real good too. But I look forward to Takuya, coz his acting is way superb. Its on Monday 10.30pm, yeah that Hideaki Drama is coming to an end. But Hideaki is quite promising huh...
Mynah Bird...squeak!
Freak not. But weeks ago, there was this final episode of "Food Fight"starring another SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. He had this Mynah Bird (This bird is very common in Singapore, the black birds with orange beaks). Yepp and this Mynah bird yak yak yak the whole of the episode. And much to people's amusement, this Mynah bird's voice was actually Takuya's voice! Cool eh! But imagine Takuya's a little...bird?

Ok guys...earlier on there was the biggie news about Takuya breaking up with Shizuka. And now Takuya denied about it. Was it a miscommunication? Or they patched up?

Yepp, believe that most of us know about Hikki and Takuya''s rumour, that Takuya had been spotted at a Tokyo Hotel where Hikki stayed at.
The most interesting part is, rumoured that Hikki called him up to invite him over to see her concert before entering Columbia University. And that fateful phone call came in during a show recording when his handphone rang. And Takuya's reaction to it was typical of a couple thing, damm happy about it. He told people at the side that it is Hikki, saying it is a special invitation to her concert.
Maybe that's the thoughfulness that Shizuka lacked of.

Ever since Takuya having some problems with the famous director Wong Kar Wai, it has been said that he's most probably back with him working on this much awaited movie. Because of what? Tony Leung winning at the Cannes! As well as Wong decided to focus the movie plot on Takuya, Tony Leung and as well as Zhang Zhen (the young man in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). [But I believe every Takuya fan will want him to be starred in this movie! Takuya is very unique, so is Wong!]
Latest News about Levi's Ads
Interesting enough, Takuya is going to "cooperate" with sex-symbol Marilyn Monroe in the coming Levi's season advertisment. He will appear in 4 different ads of unique styles. Definitely making use of computer technology, Takuya will be appearing half-naked with Monroe. He will even "touch" her slim waist! The reason why Monroe is chosen as well with Takuya to represent Levi's is because Monroe stirred the huge trend of wearing jeans in the olden days (otherwise Levi's may not make it big today, right?)
The other 3 of them have Takuya-being-chased-by-a-helicopter scene, or else striking a big pose in front of a huge crowd, and also posing in front of an old ad pasted on the wall...look out!
Did Wong Kar Wai drop Takuya for the movie "2046"?
According to the ASTYLE website, there is a big hoo haa regarding this issue. Or could it be the other way round? Takuya leaving Wong's pipeline movie? Hey but being able to be a Wong Kar Wai movie cast is very hard to come by. He's quite a reputable director too, I like those movies he made together with Photography Director Christopher Doyle. Hmmmzzz....
Hey got to know that Wong set his eyes on the recent best actress from Cannes International Film Festival - Bjork! Faye Wong's idol! Woo...yepp heard that Bjork said previously that she shall act in that winning movie showed at Cannes for the first and last time. Wonder will Bjork eat up her words and work with Wong Kar Wai? Think with such an international casting for "2046", it will be making fans looking forward to watch it.
Remember that I once posted the pictures of "2046" taken in Thailand? Yepp knew that Wong Kar Wai discarded the film footages taken in Thailand, and that followed by this TK thing. But the movie may resume filming in Korea and Japan. Wonder when reporters start taking pictures on the film-start-rolling ceremony in these countries will Takuya still be there? ASTYLE added that the "2046" people are trying to get Takuya back, think so? Well I certainly believe to get another actor to replace Takuya might be somewhat tough, because I know Wong Kar Wai will never choose someone to be in his cast for nothing. Shizuka has stopped smoking for her beloved Takuya because he does not like girls who smoke. (But as a heavy smoker himself he should quit too right?? haha)....So for the 6 month old relationship, Shizuka has said bye to cigarettes.

Snake-shaped lovers rings - to ensure a successful love relationship with Shizuka ?????
Despite the no-nos of the Japanese entertainment industry regarding the relationship between Takuya and Shizuka, due to many other celebrity couples breaking up earlier on, both Takuya and Shizuka aim to break that stereotype ending. They bought a pair of snake-shaped rings to protect themselves from suffering the same fate (webmaster: i say more or less is the psychological effect, but......better than nothing to ease their hearts on!).
Heard that this kind of ring can ensure a successful relationship. (perhaps Takuya is still feeling uneasy over breaking up with Kaori?) Takuya - Scooter Prince! ^_*
Seems like he's got another name - called the Scooter Prince!
Right after the rising popularity from his latest serial "Beautiful Life", sales went up for the two products he advertised for (namely a scooter brand and Levis jeans). Yamaha TW200 scooter was ridden by Takuya in this drama serial, and thanks to him, 3000 of this scooter model were sold within a month! It was touted as the highest monthly sales record of such scooters!
Takuya often rode his scooter while bringing Tokiwa around in "Beautiful Life". His charismatic look on the scooter has dazed many viewers ever. In fact, it is more like an advertisement as now sales of that particular scooter model has gone up due to the drama; a shocking sales number to other scooter models' sales.
Scooters are actually quite common in Japan, but business always has been poor. Last year alone, 9000 of such model were sold. But right after this drama was shown, just from end of February to end of March 2000, 3120 of this TW-200 scooter model were sold (each scooter costs 320 9000 Yen). Can tell that Takuya does have a serious effect on consumers.
But anyway, all thanks to him, he asked for his character to ride on scooter. It was agreed and the drama producers were happy to include more scenes with the scooter. However, when the drama script was about to finish, then Takuya admitted that he's got no scooter license. In the nick of the time, he went to the driving centre and suffered under the driving instructor's teachings...!

According to a reliable source, Takuya is rumoured to plan the marriage with Shizuka Kudo is because he wants to go against the rules of his management company. The company stated to him before that if he is on contract with the company he cannot get married. How about the rest of the SMAP guys? According to a magazine survey, Japanese women were being asked who would they get the "seeds" from which male celebrity, if they were to undergo aritificial conception (i.e. artificial baby-making....).

Takuya in LEVIS new advertisment!!!
Takuya, as said earlier appeared in the new Levi's Jeans advertisment. He is now Levi's Jeans' promoting Asian celebrity for its Spring-Summer 2000 series. The ad has just been released recently.
In order to synchronize with the slogan of the advertisment (which is "Free To Move") , the producer employed the special effects team of the Hollywood Blockbuster movie "The Matrix" to create the digital effects seen in the ad. The team made Takuya move around with absolute speed and style....cool! (perhaps a series of video editing gimmicks? hehehe)
?? Takuya and Shizuka Kudo registered their marriage??
Although there were a lot of rumours beforehand that Takuya and Shizuka got married, but recently according to a more reliable source (perhaps from the registry of marriage over there?), they were seen secretly registering their marriage.
According to HK magazine FOCUS, someone from the marriage department (I suppose) said he witnessed Takuya and Shizuka went together to register their marriage with the department.
This news has brought much chaos to the fans especially, all calling up many media sources to confirm the news, confusing the media too...Till now Takuya's management company Johnny denied the rumour.
But a TV station officer pointed out that it is impossible because Takuya has yet finished the filming of 'Beautiful Life', and he still has a lot of commercials to film. If he is really keen on marriage now, Shizuka would have been made pregnant now. But when Shizuka met the press recently, there was no signs of pregnancy from her nicely maintained figure. However, their love relationship is still a fact though.
As early as January, the rumour has already started. They once personally visited a real estates company to discuss about their love nest. Noriko Sakai, Shizuka's good friend even said she had been approached by the couple to help them arrange a pre-marriage honeymoon to Hawaii. But due to Takuya's tight schedule it has been scrapped.
'Beautiful Life' Viewers Stats
The first episode of 'Beautiful Life' made a shocking record of 31.8% viewership! This is the highest viewership record since 1988! Coincidently, the 1st runner up and 2nd runner dramas among the highest viewership records starred Takuya as one of the main characters too.
This drama is becoming very popular in Japan, hence the ending of the drama becomes the talk of the town. Till the 3rd episode, the story has already developed into a romantic stage. It said that Tokiwa sought his reason for his caring towards her at his house, ultimately embraced together in a long kiss.
Moreover, recently word spreaded that at the end of the drama, Tokiwa's character will be planned to die, thus unable to marry Takuya. Nevertheless, the TV station refused to comment on this rumour, so watch out for this space!

Takuya and Tokiwa Takako's new drama serial "Beautiful Life" is another big attraction; other than Takeshi Kaneshiro's recent drama serial being simutlaneously broadcasted in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand on Jan 10th this year called "Love 2000" (briefly translated).
For this drama serial, Takuya is acting with Tokiwa for the first time round, having a stereotyped love story as the main theme. In this drama serial, Takuya acts as a hairstylist, falls in love with a librarian with leg problems (Tokiwa).
Magazine reporters interviewed Takuya, filmed how he cuts hair for customers. Takuya thought of having Tokiwa as his hair cut model, but was rejected. The never-giving-up Takuya, later on let reporters sneak in and filmed Tokiwa without her consent when he cuts her hair in another session. When Tokiwa knew of the incident which she was being filmed, surprisingly she did not get angry with Takuya, but gained more chemistry with Takuya. And according to the producer of this drama serial, Takuya and Tokiwa got along well with each other during this production. Isn't this BEAUTIFUL?

TAIPEI- The Japanese entertainment circle once again appears another rumour : Takuya is currently staying together with Shizuka Kudo. According to the latest news, an upcoming new Japanese Entertainment Magazine named FRIDAY (translated) owns a picture of Takuya and Shizuka living together. According to the news, Takuya is currently residing together with Shizuka and her parents. FRIDAY took two pictures of Takuya leaving the residence in the morning and another one when he returned at night.
Yesterday, Shizuka Kudo's art gallery happened to have a grand opening ceremony. Those reporters who knew of the rumours waited for Shizuka at the ceremony but in the end she did not turn up. On the other hand, Takuya and his current artiste company did not come out to explain about the rumour. But widely expected, once FRIDAY is up on the magazine market, Takuya will come out to explain to the media.
According to another Japanese Music Show programme group, Takuya is scheduled to appear in the show on the next day. He will most probably talk about the rumour during the show.
When this rumour was spreading fast like fire, Takuya's artiste company's (I suppose it should be Johnny) boss was very annoyed by it. If not wrong, if Takuya were to admit to the rumour, it would seem to the boss that he wants to be a solo artist, away from his current group SMAP.
Takuya just ended his 9 years relationship with his long time girlfriend Kaorin in August this year, and throughout his performing career, he was involved with many actresses including Matsu Takako. Because of the interferences made by his artiste company, he did not go down the marriage aisle with anyone. It was rumoured before that he and Kaorin had a son born out of wedlock, but due to the interferences made by his company, he and Kaorin broke up before tying the knot.
What is known that both Takuya and Shizuka like water skiing, as in both shared the same interests. However, never to expect, they further their friendship into a relationship.
Takuya's millenium acts
Before Takuya films a major millenium drama serial with Tokiwa Takako, he appears in 2 contrasting characters in two different commercials, which are shown to the public at the same time. The first horse racing advertisment Takuya acts as a typical horse race gambler, checking out horse racing news right away after waking up half naked from bed. The second one, which is a credit card advertisment, he acts as a decent chap, and saved a beautiful woman. And next, he slides his credit card in exchange for a little rocket ( I suppose because the article described he 'bought' something which acts like an extinguisher). And this little cute rocket sends this woman back to heaven (because she dropped down to earth).
Wong Kar Wai's new film avoids media, goes Thailand for filming
Takuya Kimura and Tony Leung both arrived at Thailand quietly for the filming of Wang Kar Wai's new film "2046", however they still couldnt avoid the Hong Kong media.
Yesterday, Hong Kong reporters assembled at the Bangkok airport awaiting Tony Leung to appear. Around 3pm, he appeared in a grey tee, carrying a black bag on his back. There are about 20 plus airport policemen and many assistants helping to keep order. The movie company was even having a tougher security, having 2 police cars leading the way, 2 Mercedes, 3 vans and 2 luggage vehicles, together adding up to 9 vehicles leaving the airport then.
Although Tony was way cool, but when he met those excited fans, he still could smile back at them.
Takuya arrived around 4pm at the airport, he did not respond to his fans. Wearing a casual outfit, he still put on a cool front when he saw his fans from Hong Kong and those local Thai fans. Some fans even held up encouragement sign boards, yet he doesnt seem to respond (translator note : maybe it wasn't written in Japanese? haha ). Takuya left thru' the front door of the airport, and the reporters start to go after him. However, the traffic conditions in Bangkok is somewhat comfusing so not long they can't catch up with him anymore.
After these two guys reached here in Thailand, they'll start filming pretty soon. Both of them were in the hotel yesterday, didnt go shopping, perhaps to prepare for the filming.
"2046" initially didnt have plans to go overseas for filming, because this film is of science fiction nature, most of the scenes would be filmed in studio. However, the sudden quiet decision to move to Thailand perhaps is to avoid the Hong Kong media.
Takuya ends 9 year relationship with girlfriend Kaori
Takuya recently made headlines with his announcement of his break-up with long time girlfriend kaori. Hence bringing to a stop to the various rumours of his marriage with kaori.
Kaori has already moved out of his premise around end of June this year, bringing an end to the 9 year old relationship plus their 2 years of living together. Although Takuya made efforts to bring her along during certain functions, yet inevitably there was still pressure and gap between them.
The reason to the break up was not due to a 3rd party, as confirmed by Takuya himself, but due to the lack of time for companionship, and as well as Kaori wants a different lifestyle which will enable them to go anywhere in public without causing any uproars.
The concentration of fame on only Takuya himself also lead to Kaori being referred by the media as 'Kimura Girlfriend', thus losing her own individuality.
In addition, Kaori is turning 28 years old this year which is perhaps the ideal age of marriage. Kaori does not want a marriage life that still has to be kept rather secretive and lack of freedom. This is only part of the doubts between them.
What Takuya can respond now to his ultimate break up is to say 'Thank You' to Kaori for being so understanding and supportive towards him ever since they fell in love 9 years ago. On the other hand, he said this relationship let him experienced what is true love, and to find such true love next time perhaps would be really tough.
To sum up, the main reason of break-up would be due to both parties having different directions in life. Takuya is engrossed in his career and has not thought of marriage. Kaori wants just a simple life, life of an ordinary couple.
