| I was fortunate enough to get to see Loretta Lynn at Sams town Casino in Tunica Ms. on April 23, 2005 She put on a great show..but before the show started i got to meet her dress designer/personal manager we all know and love Mr. Tim Cobb. And we talked for a minute and he took a picture with me which you can see below. After we talked with Tim we went and found our seats..Next Patsy and the tshirt sales man came out with a box of stuff tell us all what they had forsale..Some Hats, T-shirts, Still Woman Enough(Autographed), You're Cookin it Country(Autographed) the 3 cd box set(Autographed) Van Lear Rose, Still Coutnry, The coal miners Daughter DVD and Vhs and a vhs of The 90s A&E Biography. Also Patsy brought her candles to sale. then they left stage and a little bit later Patsy And Peggy came out and sang 3 songs.1.Woman To Woman 2.Sara 3.Thats All I have to say...and all i have to say is they sound great and look gorgeous. After they left stage a few minutes later The queen herself came out. She opened the show with Hey Loretta..then talked for a minute and said "that tim cobb painted me up to look like a street walker where is that tim." "He Wont Come Out Here now that i Embarrased him" then she went into a medley of Ones on The Way and the Pill i dont remember the exact order of the song but she tried to sing Miss Being Mrs. and counldnt remember the words and made up new lyrics...Loretta the comedian lol..she also sang When The Tingle Becomes a Chill, Don't Come Home A Drinkin, Fist City, You Ain't Woman Enough, Portaland Oregon, Feelins(conway Duet) She said this song Feelins was conways favorite of the duets God Bless America Again(Conway Duet), Sweet Thing(ernest Duet), and i went up to the stage to take pics..and i asked her while i was up there if she could sing the song Secret Love(the old Doris Day Hit she recorded inthe 60s and 70s) but she replied back "No I Can't that dad gum song is 40 years old and i dont remember the words" also her daughter Cissie's husband sang a couple of songs and the back ground singers/duet partners sang a few to give her a rest she set through most of hte show because of her back. And she closed with her signature song "Coal Miners Daughter" But no matter if the queen is setting on her throne or standing at the mic. she is the best preformer that has ever lived. And i am proud to have had the opertunaty to be in the same room with such royality to hear that song bird of a voice which touches deep in my heart and Soul Joe Brackett Jr. |
