| Event log: We got up at 0430 in the morning as we didn't want to get into Phoenix in the afternoon. hehe... Mark made it in by 1330, I made it in at about 1530... Dave... well, he arived by car. I ran out of water about 6 miles out, but at least I was in town so I felt safe that I could at least stop off at a gas station to refill if needed. Dave was still way outside of town when Mark and Dave's mom went to get him. An interesting note: The most vertical feet climbed up to now was today... It was also the biggest drop in elevation. Go figure! (Mark has all the elevation info written down someplace, but he went to bed while I update the site...) At the recomendation of the bike store owner in Payson, we stopped off at the Bicycle Museum. This place has just about every kind of bicycle you can imagine from years past... all piled up into a one acre lot. Doug |
