BIOMECHANIC DELIRIO october 1992 Biomechanic Delirio represents the acme of Decas cyberpunk phase and the first complete cooperation with the photoartist Gianni Bacino. The show is based upon the tracks published in Digital Infarct and, later, in Electronauta. Heavy rhythm, biomechanic inspiration, aggressive approach. A long white tube wrapped as a coil Decas instruments; plastic objects surround an unreal stage; on a big screen the abstract and fluorescent images of Bacino run and flash in a bizarre caleidoscope. Deca pays a tribute to a trendy way to do electronic music: names as Front 242 and Clock DVA are his point of reference to suggest a more dynamic and dancing situation. In the end this is not his perfect contest, even though music excerpt from Digital Infarct remains a valid experiment and Biomechanic Delirio is a hi-tech visionary success, indeed. |
