My name is Heather and my husband is Mike (boy, is he gonna be mad that I'm giving away his name and putting a photo of him up here — he's a bit private). We've been married since July 3, 1994. This is our first human child, but we have two canine babies (Candy and Alyx). Our due date is December 8th, but I'm really hoping s/he will come a bit early. DH and his brother were both 10 pounders and I don't want ours to get that big. We are originally from Chicago but have lived in southern Illnois; Washington, DC; Tampa, Florida; Monterrey, California; Seoul, Korea; and currently in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Our jobs force us to move (he is in the Army and I am/was a political campaign manager), but we enjoy it. We're both scared to death about becoming parents and I'm here to get support and advice from all of you btdt moms. Below is a picture of us taken 6 months ago at my friend's wedding (who is also expecting and due at the end of August!).
