This is my husbands old briefcase.
I glued it, painted it, used markers on it, and then varnished it.
I'm going to be using it to hold my sterling silver & PMC, and a few choice books & tools.
This is the back of it.
After putting the varnish on it I was moving it into another room to let it dry.
Well, I tripped and dumped 3/4 of a can of varnish all over my carpet.
GGGGRRRRR!!!
This is the first PMC3 pendent that I made.
It's PMC3 made into an oval shape with a hole & some texture.
This is my second PMC3 pendant I did.
This one I thinned some slip and painted a grape leaf from my yard.
I did 2 coats of thin & 2 coats of medium slip.
I put a sterling silver bail on it & covered that with a thick coat of slip.
I let it dry and then fired it stovetop method.
I love it! I'm so pleased with how it turned out.
But next time I think a 2nd coat of slip to make it thicker when fired.
I wanted to do something special for my daughter.
She loves pink so I bought special pearls and added crystals.
It turned out to be 3 strands and for once I'm actually pleased with it.
I knotted in between each pearl & crystal so it took me quite a while.
This is what's called an illusion necklace.
I have wanted to do it for the last couple of years.
So this year I gave it a try.
I can tell you I won't be doing it again.
That was tough. But I finished it.
This is my first real cabochon that made any sense to me.
I really like the way the colors go together.
Of course I don't take very good pics.
This is the dutchspiral stitch.
Was the first time it ever made sense.
I like the way it looks.
