Dusty, you where the answers to my prayers to give Sayde her own Smokey (My Service Dogs). You came to us because Carol did most selfless act of parting with you. Something we have always said we could never say thank you enough. You always amazed me with your ability to know when Sayde needed you, even if it was just to comfort her when she was scared, lonely, or to protect her from danger.
I know that for Sayde you where her little girls. her best friend, her shadow, . She held your paws when you got your yearly needles, she blew your nose when you had a cold, she always made sure that you where under the covers at night and you had your head on the pillow even when you did not want to share the pillow. Sayde always made sure that you never found out what your Christmas or birthday presents before it was time to open them. I know Sayde will miss your tea parties and making cookies with you. I will always remember your last birthday where Sayde told us that you wanted your very own kitten to play with , so we got you a stuff one and the fact that you growled at the kitten but always had the kitten beside you.
Dusty you gave Sayde the strength to face all the road blocks that her life placed in her path. This path now will be very hard for Sayde but I promised you I would make sure she was ok and that when to the time was right I would have her new buddy ready to go .
This is not good bye, only a see you later. We will miss you, have more than earned your wings Dusty you have left us here on earth but I know you will be watching over Sayde and one day you will both be together again.
