Smokey's Assistance Dogs Foundation does not use puppy raiser, however we will be looking for helpers. The reason we have chosen not to use the services of Puppy Raiser is the very specialize training that each dog or puppy must have in order for them to be Aids to there partners.
1. Dog must live indoors and sleep in the helper's room in a Crate. If you take a pup home for a weekend
2. Attend regularly obedience
3. Dogs must wear the vest when in public or on outing
4. You must have an enclosed yard
5. There is an age requirement. Parental consent is required if the under 18 years of age.
Note: The word dog can mean either a dog over one year of age or a puppy less than one year of age If you agree to the above conditions and guidelines, please send the following information, to request an application to become a helper.
